Saved Game Files
So I started playing Zdoom (with brutal doom). Recently though I wanted to play it with steam so I could talk to friends while playing and such. I did all the file placement but now I have no saved game files. Apparently they are still in the old Zdoom folder called ZDS files. I can't find them at all. Do I have to get a special app to see/move them? Is there anyway I can move these files to the steam location so I can still play them?

Re: Saved Game Files
Was your ZDoom folder originally in Program Files? I wonder if the saves have been tucked away into some hidden AppData folder. Try Windows' Find Files function to locate all files named .ZDS and see what comes up.
Re: Saved Game Files
My original Zdoom folder was in program files (x86). Whenever I saved a game in Doom, there would be a message saying where the game ended up in the Zdoom folder with it ending with Save12.zds. Just finished the search and found all of them. They were in AppData\Local\VirtureStore\Program Files (x86)\Zdoom.
Re: Saved Game Files
Got it working. Just copied and pasted them in. Thanks for the advice!
Re: Saved Game Files
The place where ZDoom stores its save files can be set through the [wiki=CVARs:Configuration#save_dir]save_dir[/wiki] console variable.
Re: Saved Game Files
For me it always puts the save files right beside the executable.
