Had a protein shake put suntan lotion on to sit in the sun and read light novels.

Eatin' free breakfast tacos at work. This place finds many ways to make up for the fact that we occasionally get death threats and the like!

Alright then, maybe in the future be a little more descriptive so it looks less like you are posting for the sake of posting.

Post the death threats on social media and link to a patreon campaign. Worked for Zoe.Captain Ventris wrote:Eatin' free breakfast tacos at work. This place finds many ways to make up for the fact that we occasionally get death threats and the like!

You know, I guess my job is actually super interesting despite how it sounds on paper.Big C wrote:Whooooa, what the Hell do you do for a living, provided you're at liberty to ask?Captain Ventris wrote:Eatin' free breakfast tacos at work. Ready for your glimpse into the madness of the everyday human?
I work at a Home Owner's Association management company. We get hired by HOAs to handle calls, manage billing, etc. My particular job is that I take Site Management calls regarding violation letters, etc. So when someone gets a letter that says "Hey, move your boat out of the driveway", they call us crying despite the fact that it's a legal responsibility of their realtor to tell them there's an HOA in the neighborhood, all HOA CCNRs (Covenants, Conditions, And Restrictions) are publicly available, and they signed a bunch of related papers when they bought the house.
People are nutso, however, so let me tell you the story of the first call I ever took at this job. Despite the fact that X people from X neighborhood got told to remove their political signs last week (Texas law allows HOAs to restrict political signs outside a period of 70 days before an election and 10 days after), we had a nut who decided that we were picking on him and being racist. He was a Puerto Rican fellow with a sign for a black politician who assumed that because his Native American neighbor with a Hispanic politican's sign in his yard hadn't yet complied that we just hadn't sent him a letter because we <3 Hispanics more or something. The Site Manager (the dude who drives through the neighborhood bi-weekly to record violations) is a super white dude, but anyway. Anyway, dude threatens to shoot the Site Manager if he sees him (This is why they have unmarked cars), and sends a threatening Youtube video to one of the Site Management supervisors where he rants about supporting black people despite using the N-word repeatedly. THEN he was spotted wearing camouflage and sneaking into the Community Manager's (our company's conduit with an HOA's board of directors) yard as well as the yard of another Community Manager halfway across town. So now that particular individual has a full injunction against him and the Texas Rangers themselves (yes, they're real, and yes they are rad) showed up to the office to collect information on the guy. So if he calls, the Rangers round him up. For reals. Like, that's a real thing - if the man even calls the office or anyone associated with the company, he gets arrested by Walker Texas Ranger.
So that's the worst, but we've had plenty of death threats for basically anything including a friend of mine being threatened because the caller's HOA hired a different management company months ago. And one guy called when my Fiance was working here and tried to ask her if the CEOs were present and what the layout of the building was. A few guesses as to the intentions there. There's also the crazy lady which accused us of stealing her oven, sued, and then lost, but occasionally still tries to start things with us again.
Basically, people don't like keeping their lawns mowed.

Fortunately I just do the phones, so I never have to see any of these people.

In a fit of boredom, I resuscitated an old iBook G4 laptop. Here are some only-barely-related screenshots.
