Who made Doom Center?
Who made Doom Center?
I was just asking, who made doom center? Not the site but the wad.
Re: Who made Doom Center?
The oficial or unoficial releases? heh
Re: Who made Doom Center?
I dunno. There is 1. The DooM Center.wad and 2. The dysfunctional pk3s
Who created the original one? And also the dysfunctional PK3s

Re: Who made Doom Center?
If I can recall correctly, Doomcenter was created originally by a member called Doorhenge and then maintained by other random members after he stopped working on it.
Re: Who made Doom Center?
Actually, it was started by me quite some time ago as 'zdcenter' - Other than submitting a arcade machine prop in around the third release, Doorhenge only came into the picture when i wanted to port it for skulltag and use decorate and stuff, which is when the name was changed to Doomcenter.
When I took a break from working on it, Doorhenge ran off with it, put his name at top billing, and put my credit as a 'special thanks' footnote. By the time I found out about it, the wad was a massive clusterfuck (even moreso than before) and the damage was pretty much irreversable.

Oh yeah, I forgot about ZDCenter, I played it alot when I used to be on ZDaemon but I didn't know if the two had any direct correlations with eachother. Thanks for clearing that up for us.
Re: Who made Doom Center?
What about the Dysfunctional pk3s? Why won't they work? And are the pk3s the community releases? They always show me ACS errors even in skulltag

I'm actually pretty sure that joke stems from Ghoul's Forest creator CutManMike Since Jitterskull is the Cashier and originated from that wad. Although that is a little coincidence.jdog320 wrote:Oh..... MikeDonalds.
Re: Who made Doom Center?
Doom Center seems to be a pretty good hub for what the ZDoom Engine (and it's deriatives) can do. Say where can I get zdcenter? I only have the later wad by Doorhenge.

Re: Who made Doom Center?
Well luckily Mike had all the versions I didn't have (what a coincidence, eh?), so now I have the full set. (Minus old Doom Center versions and a few minor versions of bowling.wad)

Re: Who made Doom Center?
You need skulltag_actors.pk3 (if using Zandronum) and skulltag_data.pk3 (or skulltag_data_126.pk3) to be loaded before Doom Center.
