Grave Encounters was pretty good. The 2nd one sucked ass. Mainly because it felt like a fan made film that got a theatrical release and not a good fan film either

Oh please. Oh, please, please, PLEASE. The games are already overrated and overhyped enough as it is, why do they need a MOVIE? It's doomed to failure from the start!

Anyone here aware of that Ao Oni movie that they made last year? From what I've seen it's lame as hell but the fact that such an uneventful title got a movie tie in is interesting, as I think it might actually be the first indie game to do so if I'm not mistaken. They've even got a weird sequel/remake in the works. Weird stuff.
Anyways, FNaF, interesting take on a horror game, good example of turning one's weaknesses into strengths, too many sequels too soon, decent time-management game that punishes you with jumpscares for fucking up, name recognition. Now a movie. I won't expect much, but it probably won't be too bad. At least it's not shitting all over a previous better movie like Poltergeist did, doing the same thing but lamer and even less subtly. Fuck that noise.

Whilst I agree with the first bit, you need to define failure. Chances are that, as a piece of entertainment, the movie will be mediocre at best (IMO of course). However, that's not how success will be measured by the studio. Will it sell plenty of tickets and make a profit? Maybe, if they get it out quick enough while enough people still care about the game (of course, if it is rushed, it's even less likely to be a good movie). If it makes the target level of money aimed at by the studio, they will consider it to be a success.Wiw wrote:Oh please. Oh, please, please, PLEASE. So, the best thing to do to stop these kind of movies is to stay away from the theatre. People don't though.
Personally, I think Uwe Boll should make it.

It's actually Uwe Boll on disguise.

He's getting around, it seems. He's a script writer on Quantum Break, and is also writing the full-length Kung Fury movie. The article wrote:Kenan will write the script with Tyler Burton Smith.

Wait, same person who directed Monster House? Is that the movie I watched in school (probably fifth grade or whatever)?

I hope this movie bombs because I'm sick of seeing FNAF shit. First game was fine but sequels after the second one I simply stopped caring.

How do you even make a movie out of this? Some dude sitting in his chair for an hour and a half before some Chuck-E-Cheese ripoff screams in his face?

He'd likely make something decent out of it, actually!Enjay wrote:Personally, I think Uwe Boll should make it.
