Ventris is Getting Married! And is terrible at foruming.

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

How do people say this with a straight face these days.

You can say that again. Last time I felt true happiness was when I was a child back in the 90's. I'd love to go back to those days.

Oh crap, how have I not posted here yet?!

Huge congratulations! This is awesome news, obviously.

Ventris, you were the first person on the forum to tell me I was not dumb. Even if it usually seems inaccurate, that always stuck with me. :P

(Also my mom and sis have played Dishonored, DX:HR, Bioshock and a lot of other stuff, many times over. I really don't know where this "not gamers" bullshit comes from.)

Congrats Cap!

While I only know you from the forums here, I'm really happy to see good things happen to good people. :)

Haha, I don't remember that, but you're welcome!

Thanks, folks. :)

Definitely not a shotgun wedding, haha. Neither of us are into the idea of kids!

Let's just say that all the women I've met/seen in my life so far have thought games are stupid and a waste of time.

That's dependant on the culture, none of my (real life) female friends like games other than the common android titles, and that's considering that most of my real life friends are female, the only "gamer women" i know are from the internet, from different places across the world.

My fiance and I are checking out what should be the venue tomorrow. Around $1300 with tables, linens, and drinks for the day. It's a good looking and sizable space so I'm pretty excited. We've managed to save a crazy amount of money on pretty mucg everything so far because we're poor and all, but it's gonna be pretty rad.

Uh... I don't like congratulating people I don't know much, but I'll do it. Have a good time with your accomplishment.

Didn't Gamergate establish that only men play games? Or was it about ethics in journalism?

Gonna stop you there. This shouldn't be brought up on these forums. It causes problems, even if it was a joke.

I think we're all missing out one very important question;

Ventris, did you wear the kilt as properly intended or did you do the heathen thing and kept parts covered?

(Congrats on getting hitched, regardless of kilt-wearing etiquette)

I was a total heathen. Surprised it took someone that long to ask :P
