MIDI Music Identification: Cover or Original?

I'd like to know if this piece of excellent music from the map E1M2 of wad file MEGAWAD.wad is either a cover of an already existing music or did the authors make it completely from scratch. And I need your help in figuring that out.

It is squeaky clean.

I gave it a listen, couldn't recognize it. It does sound like a cover to me. Music made intentionally for doom tends to be less jolly and more speed metal-y
