(resolved) Weird Buggy Walls: Why Is This???

Post by Skelegant »

I'm using Doom Builder, and most of the walls I make can be shot through, and monsters can hear and see through them.
Here's an example: http://www.mediafire.com/download/20ovh ... ywalls.zip
I'd appreciate if somebody could tell me WHAT THE FUCK.

You didn't upload a map. There's no wad file in that zip.

Your problem is likely you have a map full of 2-sided walls. Shooting through those is normal. Solid walls made from one-sided linedefs surrounding a void space. Look at somebody else's map in DB (or GZDB if that's what you're using) for an example.

I fixed the zip file, but I think what you've said is what the problem must be. So, do I fix it by making the walls one-sided?

Just delete the sector that makes up your walls.
