Much unpleasantness has been removed to Off-Topic. Moral of the story: DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT BRUTAL DOOM.

I suppose I can mention, in case anyone doesn't know, that if players want something even more bleeding-edge than the current Git build, they can look to my fork for proposed updates that have yet to be approved by wildweasel. Just bear in mind that if anything goes oddly in that build, complains and comments should be directed to me, not to him.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS V2
Another mod by WildWeasel... Awesome as always.
I think I'm a little late, though.
(Not that I've only found it now. I already knew about this mod and have already played it several times in the past. Just decided that I should say this, I guess...)
Also, needs more ways to make those nazis suffer. How about some nasty chemical weapons?

Wouldn't be much different from the flamethrower, in all honesty.phantombeta wrote:Also, needs more ways to make those nazis suffer. How about some nasty chemical weapons?

What sort of things are you working on in your forked version?Ed the Bat wrote:I suppose I can mention, in case anyone doesn't know, that if players want something even more bleeding-edge than the current Git build, they can look to my fork for proposed updates that have yet to be approved by wildweasel. For the most part, nothing huge. It's mainly a test-bed for some updated features, some possible re-balancing, and general code/resource cleanup and updates. You can check the commits to see any features or updates it has and compare it to the official build from weasel.

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS V2
It's been quite some time since I've seen this pop up in my subscribed threads, but one thing that bugged me back then and still now, is the issue of which 9mm weapon to use when I have the two german pistols and the MP 40. What I'm guessing is that (in order from most powerful per shot and slowest fire rate to least powerful per shot and highest fire rate) Walther > Luger > MP 40? Even then the roles feel a bit too similar...the Walther is good for ammo conservation and fairly accurate shots with good power to boot (also a great weapon to fire from cover for weaker monsters when you don't have a shotgun, but then in that case I would use the revolver provided I had the ammo), and the MP 40 is quintessential mook hose. Where does the Luger fit in?

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS V2
Nope, Walther is stronger than Luger. Luger is more accurate.

I just used the greater/lesser signs as arrows.
So the luger is the high ROF "sniping" pistol?

Re: Weasel Presents: NAZIS V2
My mistake. Then yes, you are right. Walther does 6 to 18 damage per shot, Luger does between 3 and 17, MP40 does 9 to 14. UMG does 11 to 15, making it more powerful than the MP40. Out of all the 9mm guns in this arsenal, the Luger is the most accurate but also the only one with no form of autofire.
