[XM] 555 - Now That's What I Call PaleDeth
THE FILE SIZE IS NOW 10 MB!
Long story short:
This is a music mod based on TerminusEst13's "Now that's what I call MIDI" mod using my friend PaleDeth's XM Modules.
The music will *not* fit the tastes of everyone (probably most people actually)
Here's an example of the type of music in the mod.
245 tracks. About 10MB.
DO NOT EXTRACT! It is a .zip because it refused to work in .pk3 format for me. Just load it at the end of your load order.
Enjoy, give feedback, let me know what you think of the music, anything.
DOWNLOAD

Why would you ever convert XM files to MP3 when XMs work out of the box in ZDoom?

Hey, just for the record, ZDoom can support .xm files perfectly fine! There's no need to convert them all to .mp3, since that bloats up filesize immensely.
Even if you don't like .xm for some reason, at the very least you can convert them to .ogg.

XM's work in ZDoom by default???
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt?!?!
I had no idea!
I shall do this in the next few days. I'm a bit busy at the moment.
In the mean time. Any other suggestions/comments?

ZDoom can play almost any kind of module/tracker format music, i believe. this includes stuff like rips from old games for the NES, Genesis, N64 etc., and XM files as has already been mentioned. streamed music files should only be used if it's not any kind of tracker music at all.

Would love to see ZDoom and GZDoom support Unreal's UMX format but that I should save for another topic.Viscra Maelstrom wrote:ZDoom can play almost any kind of module/tracker format music, i believe. this includes stuff like rips from old games for the NES, Genesis, N64 etc., and XM files as has already been mentioned. streamed music files should only be used if it's not any kind of tracker music at all.

I'm pretty sure ZDoom supports whatever modules foo_dumb supports, which happens to be "most of them".
and that's not even the craziest stuff in it.
That's pretty fun of you to say when TWICM already has shit like the first track of this;loismustdie555 wrote: The music will *not* fit the tastes of everyone (probably most people actually)

Mp3's worked out of the box but the file size was huge.m4lmaster wrote:i wasnt aware you planned to release this, you got .mp3's to work then?
I ended up using the original .xm files.

Spoiler:
Amazed live in a world where a warning about metal music has to be given,
and where metal music is called "crazy", especially moderate metal at that..
Just sad...
