Do you actually have the disks for that? I'm pretty sure I still do. but if you really want to impress me, connect using QuantumLink. I wanna see the faces on the AOL techs.

The 8 CPU nuumber comes from the system, courtesy of Hyperthreading which makes it think it got 2 CPUs per core.

I thought hyperthreading on mainstream CPU's only added 2 "cores."

Nope, and the hyperthreading "core" isn't that powerful. 'tis why I got the Core i5 over the Core i7 -- there is literally no real difference whilst gaming. However, if you're doing video rendering - then you'll see a different outcome.

You should probably sell the 660ti. You have a 980, you don't need dedicated physX card. Unless you play at high resolution.(1920x1080 is not high res, it's the standard resolution.)

My laptop disagrees (1366x768). 1600x900 is usually enough for most anything right now, even 1024x768 is still supported by everything today.

Supported doesn't mean standard. Also 1920x1080 laptops are actually pretty common now, and a desktop monitor under 1920x1080 is pretty rare.
