Nothing like sorting out an ME System just before the server goes down. Oh well, at least I won't need to log into it for a while. Oh shoot I forgot, I didn't build those tools someone wanted before I lost connection. I'll have to do that next.

Finally got fed up with Firefox "improvements" and switched everything over to Pale Moon. Actually pretty nice not needing a plugin to revert every useability regression. Still disappointed in Mozilla for diving into competitive modernization-barfing. As my mom put it, "If I want a crappy browser that looks like Chrome, I'll use Chrome."

If you're using DSfix turn off your stupid framerate changer.MarisaKirisame wrote:I tried that and my game froze upon leaving firelink shrine.JimmyJ wrote:Dark Souls Steamworks patch is live. Transfer complete. :3

I've actually been looking into switching to that myself, but I can't seem to get adblock or xkit to work like they did in firefox. That's pretty much the only thing stopping me from switching.NeuralStunner wrote:Finally got fed up with Firefox "improvements" and switched everything over to Pale Moon.

Seriously, am I the only one that doesn't the Firefox changes a single bit?
I actually don't feel like anything's missing.

Adblock works alright for me (with exceptions like Pixiv, but that's not been working right on Firefox lately too) on Pale Moon.zrrion the insect wrote:I've actually been looking into switching to that myself, but I can't seem to get adblock or xkit to work like they did in firefox. For Adblock, use the fork on addons.palemoon.org - For other addons you can use the compatibility check disabler and they might still work.zrrion the insect wrote:I've actually been looking into switching to that myself, but I can't seem to get adblock or xkit to work like they did in firefox. That's basically New Coke right there. Coca-Cola figured that since a lot of people like Pepsi because it was sweeter than Coke, they'd make a new recipe for Coke that was sweeter to match.NeuralStunner wrote:As my mom put it, "If I want a crappy browser that looks like Chrome, I'll use Chrome."
Nevermind the fact that the entire reason people drank Coke was because they didn't want a super-sweet soda.

Seamonkey all day every day. no under the rug design by committee ux hipster bullshit ever. probably the last browser on earth to retain the standard 90s browser layout going as far down the lineage to the original Netscape Navigator (or to be pedantic, netscape navigator 3.0 gold). In sodapop analogies, it's Dr. Pepper.
Given the ever 'evolving' web and its 'standards' and my tendency to stick to legacy apps that aren't broken (I still use several '95-'98 dated tools), it's great

Hopping onto Second Life from the wifi at the clinic isn't working too well rofl. Wonder why I'm still trying. Least the rest of the web is available.

Got a copy of Doom64 a few days ago. Was kinda surprised to find it, too. The case is pretty beat up, but it works well enough. Still have yet to play it since I ripped the ROM out of it for Doom64EX.

I still have a lot of 16-bit software that I use. (Mostly games technically, but still...) VMs are wonderful.leileilol wrote:Given the ever 'evolving' web and its 'standards' and my tendency to stick to legacy apps that aren't broken (I still use several '95-'98 dated tools), it's great

-sound file from Amazeing, the only game I've specifically gone out to buy a shareware disc just to find again.

I'm having trouble with finding sufficent modular power supplies. My eyes are on the Corsair CX 500M, but people bitch about the CX series left and right, and some other good ones don't have two 6+2 pin connectors for the graphics card.
