Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.
basically like a PPK meets a beretta with a LAM.
heres the challenge tho, I want it less like a technical thing, more like a personal thing. Less "M4A1 mark234 w/ ACOG and suppressor by Lynx arms" and more "Little P pocket buddy" or "Ladykilla seducer". feel free to use dialect and slang to spice it up. basically make it seem like someone showin affection and love for your firearm, and less like its from a technical guide. surprise me

I'm trying something here; since I know very little about your project's character, I can't really do it from your hero's point of view, so here's something a bit different.
Spoiler:
Handgun, Custom, 9mm Model G
"The pocket popper, we like to call it," muses the Armorer with a grin. "I'm quite proud of it myself. Took the best bits from the M9 and the old Walthers. Grip safety, laser sighting, the works." The Armorer tugs on the slide a bit; the glint of brass from the magazine well indicates it's loaded and chambered. "Most of these kinds of guns have hammers, sharp edges, mounting brackets, that kinda crap. Not everybody's gonna want a fancy scope, I figure. And sharp edges? Might be nice if you plan on stabbing someone with it, I guess, but shitty idea in practice." He lets go of the slide and twirls the weapon over his finger by the trigger guard. "Perfectly balanced, when fully loaded. All the edges are rounded off so it won't catch on anything if you need to whip it out in a hurry. Oh, and I forgot the best part..." The Armorer jabs the gun's barrel straight into his assistant's head and pulls the trigger. Nothing but a click is heard. "...It's pretty much theft-proof. Thing won't even try to shoot unless it knows it's you behind the trigger. Don't ask me how it knows; I just put 'em together, I don't do the sciencey shit." After decocking the gun and handing it over the counter, the Armorer sets about consoling his frightened assistant.
An Octavian-41 with a 30-06 conversion kit, and a drum mag. Because of the stock size(being the same size as the regular Oct-41), It's recoil is higher, but with the fore grip, owners will be able to keep almost the same amount of control.
EDIT: Scratch the fore grip, It's just 30-06 Oct-41. The Forty-One Fastoc will take up the Chain Gun's spot. There might be a Oct-33 with a 8mm drum conversion kit.
Okay, I'll revise up the previous paragraphs to include that.
Spoiler:
Kovac Octavian Series Modular Infantry Rifle
Designed by Croatian gunsmith Konrad Kovac and produced under license by at least four other manufacturers, the "Octavian" series of infantry rifles was initially only intended for sport shooting; the design included integrated telemetry sensors and a camera intended for recording during shooting competitions. The camera, literally an off-the-shelf helmet camera priced at less than 40 USD, made the Octavian popular with law enforcement throughout Eastern Europe, and brought about a new age of law enforcement accountability. Because the rifle was so successful at stopping "accidental" civilian shootings during police raids, it was not long before national armies adopted it as their assault weapon of choice. The Octavian comes in several variants, all of which have interchangeable parts (save for the magazine, upper receiver, and barrel).
Among the most popular variations is the Oct-41 Main Battle Rifle, favored by front line forces for its hefty 7.62 NATO cartridge and capacity for automatic fire with significantly less recoil than the typical FAL variants. The Oct-41 bears traditional open sights and a fixed, recoil-controlling stock. It is often issued to guards and military police, and other units that are not expected to carry a lot of ammunition. The MBR configuration does not necessarily need to be chambered for 7.62mm, since the Octavian concept allows for a complete change of caliber by simply replacing the barrel and receiver. Barrels are available for such diverse munitions as .30-06 and .50 Beowulf.
The Oct-33 Designated Marksman Rifle, chambered for 5.56mm cartridges for improved armor penetration, has an integrated magnifying scope (actually, an eye piece for the onboard camera, reducing the need for constant zeroing and adjusting) and a folding stock. Although DMRs tend to chamber larger cartridges, the Oct-33 DMR was chambered for a smaller caliber by request of soldiers posted in mountainous regions that have more need for a high velocity round at long ranges.
Owing to its highly modular design, the Octavian rifle is also available in FAS (Full-Auto Suppression) configuration. The so-named Kovac Oct-41 Mod.2 FAS, better known by its users as the "Forty-One Fastoc," replaces the lower receiver with one modified to accept only a belt feed, and removes the integrated camera to make room for a canister of barrel-coolant fluid, which is intelligently applied to the barrel should it exceed recommended temperatures. Because of the altered feed mechanism, the Fastoc cannot accept box magazines from the similar Oct-41 MBR. This might sound inconvenient for the support gunner who happens to be low on ammo, but the end result is a much more reliable mechanism free of jamming and cook-off issues, making for a much more useful weapon for sustained suppressing fire.
Ok, this doesn't have to do with weapons, so much as factions for something I'm possibly planning.
Spoiler:
Red Dragons: A faction of cybernetically enhanced mercenaries sent by the UAC to deal with the initial slipgate infestation. However, the attempt to contain the invasion went as well as expected. Red Dragons are usually identified by their bulky armor, and some of the zombified Red Dragons can actually be seen as Chaingun Guys.
Cerberus Corps: A large faction of black ops supersoldiers hired by the UAC to specialize in wetworks and other unpleasant endeavors. Due to their prominent role in the UAC's rise to power, the Cerberus Corps has gained a rather unsavory reputation for knowingly murdering innocent civilians just for the pay. They carry high-grade weaponry (think of the Unique weapons from DoomRLA), wear black compact power armor, and have the ability to move faster and be better shots due as part of their superhuman abilities.
Shadow Company: An attempt to fuse human DNA with demon DNA, this faction was originally created to better combat the demonic invasion by gaining a better understanding of how demons attack. However, these hybrid supersoldiers became heavily influenced by their demonic side, and thus, are possibly one of the more potential threats against humans. To accommodate the features of these soldiers, they usually wear bulky power armor, and some even wear fully mechanized suits (think XS1 Goliath from Advanced Warfare meets Doom 3 Bruiser.)
Death Walkers: A more recent attempt to combine human and demon DNA to combat the hellspawn invasion, this faction of hybrid supersoldiers is far more successful, as they not as easily influenced by their demonic instincts. Unlike Shadow Company, Death Walkers are more human, and thus, wear more compact experimental armor.
Would you like to create something more in-depth for these planned factions?
A tiny question; Would you be willing to describe a weapon/weapons that isn't/aren't part of a ZDoom project? As I have a weapon I would very much like to see you take a crack at, seeing your beautiful work on all of the ones above. (I do have an image of it, however it is outdated, and I am currently in the process of heavily redesigning it.)
Especially the "Handgun, Custom, 9mm Model G," that one is truly amazing.
Dear wildweasel, if you have the free time and inspiration, I'd like to request that you give a few guns in my Weapons of Saturn mod a line or two of descriptive explanation. You really know how to romanticize something as simple as clicking the left mouse button and that's an amazing talent.
To those who have requests waiting, I would like to apologize, college finals week is coming up very fast and I have been focusing too much on my study to remember that you guys had asked me for things. I'll have to see about getting you all some text soon, but it'll have to happen after this coming Thursday.
