Yeah, a level in a war-torn city would be a blast to play through! I'll think up some layouts and collect some textures.

I'd love to, but tbh I actually haven't seen any of those movies. Sorry!
Also, I really hate to spoil movies, but since this movie's older than I am (and for the sake of creativity), here's a couple clips:

Now that I think about it, maybe I could go with a Timesplitters-esque level set for this? Basically you play as a soldier in different wars across history starting with vietnam then maybe a mission in iraq during the gulf war and then a mission in the korean war? I dunno, what do you guys think?

Genius (just come up with time machine textures).

It would be cool if one of the missions would be set in the (American) Civil War.

First Crusade Jerusalem, with a midi of the Bruce Dickinson song to match.

EDIT: with barrages of arrows and boiling oil timed to the "Let it Rain" refrain

While I'd love to do a Medieval or ancient styled stage, I'm not sure how I'd pull off fun Melee combat. Maybe I could have the player play as a Peltast in the battle of Gaugamela? That way you could have ranged weaponry and fight more varied enemies.

I want more weapons (like a napalm-launcher, m-60, m-79, mossberg, m1 and more), more enemies (like a kamikadze-guys from N.A.M., snipers, bazooka-troopers) and more things like a klaymors, random airstrikes and random screams from N.A.M.
These things + 30 maps = one of the best mods of 2014-2015 year.

Is it just me or are you using the software renderer in the screenshots?

Yeah, that was an earlier version. Run in GZDoom for the new one, I added some effects since then to spruce the wad up.
