Oh, okay. I remember seeing it in ALIENS: The Ultimate DooM, so I didn't know.
I think this rotation is derp.

A Doom-handed carbine thing with sights, edited from Slax's most recent edit.
A Doom-handed carbine thing with sights...and a muzzle flash. I can post a four-way muzzle flash with it instead, though I hope to use this as a base for the MARS A, a 6.66x48mm M16-type weapon and the bullpup Model B's direct ancestor (hence the blue front sight post). Although barely visible, the sprite also has a drum magazine.

Looks like a zombie to me, because of his bit crouched leg. Is he actually a zombie? he has a pretty fine acrobatic body to me.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
That's going to look very thin with the aspect ratio applied. To preview it in Photoshop, go to View -> Pixel Aspect Ratio -> Custom Aspect Ratio, and then set the factor to 0.8. I wouldn't recommend leaving that on though, it's a half-baked feature in that you can't make single-pixel lines with it enabled so you've got to switch it back to Square each time.raymoohawk wrote:3 frames, got it

Square Pixels.
Doom Pixels
Square Armour Soldier vs Aspect Ratio'd Former Human
Needs to be more stout, especially with the arms, shoulders, and torso. Basically 20% wider overall to look appropriate like the third image.

Almost a tactical stance you've got there, mister new zombie. Makes me think he's gonna start shooting from the floor up, letting the recoil do most of the work.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
thanks for pointing it out torrid, i always forget about the asprct ratio. it would sure be awesome if photoshop properly supported custom aspect ratios

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
It does!
What's the problem?
Indexed. Looks damn good on a dark background.
Although you may wanna turn down the light on the gun and hand unless you intend to make a bigger flash.

I like to think of it as a .300 Blackout carbine. BLAP BLAP! Loud monsta.TheRailgunner wrote:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Nice! Does that mean you're adding it to Helsturm? I just thought that with the DooM guy hand, you would add it to helsturm. I thought I saw a MARS A pickup you made that looks sorta like that.TheRailgunner wrote:

Left, smallest pencil size possible without aspect ratio correction. Right, smallest pencil size available with aspect ratio correction. If you want to make pixel edits you have to turn it off.
