"Prisoner transfer from cell block 1138"

"Send Rogues 10 and 11 to station 38"

The back of a Battle droid in Ep1

In the Sand when Padme falls from the ship in Episode 2 (unconfirmed)

But is it in Return of the Jedi?

It's also in American Graffiti (car number plate) and Raiders of the Lost Arc "ein, ein, drei, oct"

It's George Lucas' first movie (THX-1138) and a remake of one he did as a film student. It is an unusual sci-fi movie that, as I understand it, flopped financially and made the studios very reluctant to hire Lucas. To rub their noses in it (again, as I understand) Lucas makes oblique references to it in his other movies.

In the Star Wars novelisation, it wasn't "Prisoner transfer from cell block 1138" but the line "TK-421, why aren't you at your post" was asked of a storm trooper called THX1138 instead.

Apparently the number itself (THX-1138) was the mnemonic of Lucas' George's phone number in San Francisco when he was a student.

Despite hours of combing RotJ by dedicated geeks, it has not been found. The best that anyone has suggested so far is the scene shortly after Artoo and Threepio fall off Jabba's sail barge you see a close up of Threepios legs (11) a sand dune (3) and Artoo with a lifting device stuck on his head (8). Probably just wishful thinking though.

Are you querying my use of the contraction "That'll" ?

If so, it is literally "that will" but in this case effectively means "that is" rather than "that will be at some point in the future".

So to be clear, THX is a company that was founded by George Lucas (he of THX-1138 and Star Wars fame).
