I'd rather cut a pie with a tool that can actually open .pk3 pies and create ACS libraries... and this metaphor completely fell apart on me.

i see, if XWE is a fork, then i'm using a salad knife to cut the pie; slumped. and this is going to be a good timing for pickup a better knife to cut those pies 'n mix it up into good-looking shape, batandy.

as someone who's picked up this mod on and off as it's been developed, I want to say that I love the level design and music. You've perfectly captured the feeling of "What if Doom was a Mario game" perfectly, but the weapons still feel a little off-putting.
If I may make a small suggestion for the revolver at least? Give it infinite reloads, and an option to fan the hammer for rapid fire but at the cost of accuracy. It would be nice to have a fallback weapon as ammo feels scarce at times.

Hoping to stream this sometime soon like I promised. I've played through the first couple of levels and while I like what I'm seeing so far a lot, I have a few concerns about the gameplay balance.

i do remember feeling pretty "hunted" in a few levels of this mod in previous betas, particularly the beach level, because it was a huge, open-ended level with monsters coming at you from everywhere. felt a bit overwhelming. maybe i should try the new beta and see how it's like.

It wouldn't be a DKC inspired map without tunnels and mines
