They still look quite recessed to me but definitely a lot better than my original attempt.abbuw wrote:Attempted to do another edit of Enjay's SHAWN2+SUPPORT3. The bolts should look more like bolts instead of dents.
I like all of these.abbuw wrote:A large version of FLOOR0_1, a heavy red rust texture based on the lava texture, and an edit of the large FLOOR0_1 texture, using the red rust texture. Credits go to iD software for the original FLOOR0_1, which is obviously from Doom.
Funny looking. In both a good way and a bad way.Serpent rider wrote:What do you think about this![]()
I agree with Fuzzballfox's points but I do like them. There is some potential for these to be used somewhere.Serpent rider wrote:or these :
Thank you.Enjay wrote:I like all of these.abbuw wrote: A large version of FLOOR0_1, a heavy red rust texture based on the lava texture, and an edit of the large FLOOR0_1 texture, using the red rust texture. Credits go to iD software for the original FLOOR0_1, which is obviously from Doom.
Sorry, but the green tentacles look a bit odd, not in the good way either. The mossy teleporter, and the slimed up brown wall are good, though. Sticking to the regular tentacles would probably be a good idea.Serpent rider wrote:What do you think about this

Interesting. Are you going for a slightly-high-res-pack kind of approach? (Serious question, not being sacastic - I actually like the look of these.)abbuw wrote:Here's another large version of a texture. It's based on FLOOR4_1 and a STAR texture from Doom. Well, there's not gonna be a hi-res pack. Just made these to use for very large and open areas, unscaled. It'd look kind of neat.Enjay wrote:Interesting. Interesting. On the forum they look perfect. but downloading them and looking at them close up and in game, it's kind of like the bolt heads are floating above the metal background a little bit. However, extending the shadow around the bottom of the bolt a little seems to reduce this effect.zrrion the insect wrote:I tried my hand at this edit:
Enjay wrote:The banded shine is always a problem when editing SHAWN2-based textures. We are all used to it but, actually, if you take a fresh look at it, it doesn't look that good and it doesn't make much sense. It almost makes the texture look like two horizontal cylinders/pipes sitting up top of each other. I did try to counter it a bit but I guess I failed.FuzzballFox wrote:They do look nice, but maybe it's the banded shine that makes them look off?
