This project idea is to convert sprites to voxels.
Why, you ask? There are lots of answers, but it's because it looks good, mainly.

NEW Voxels of Saturn - Weapons of Saturn is a great weapons mod, and here are the voxels for it!
What got converted- Everything,up to WoS update July 07 2014

NEWish Heretic Voxels- You asked for it, and here it is! This isn't the final version, but what isn't here is either 1: Too hard( involves rotation, the sprite is at an akward angle etc) 2: Has transparency, which I have no idea in how to deal with
3: Is a weapon, and in that case,doing it is so educative that I left the work to you guys (you can understand it as: if you don't do it yourself, it won't happen)
What got covered so far- keys, wand crystal, ethereal arrows, projectile arrows, lesser runes, greater runes, axes, power book, health vial, walltorch, and the harder voxel I ever made, serpent torch

FKER voxels- made for FKER. Don't know what FKER is? It's a monster randomizer with some new weapons that fit well in doom's atmosphere.

Updated Hellspawn + Voxelbro-Team Hellspawn's Doom Voxel Project needed a fix, and I added some of voxels too

Additional note: If seeing this voxels makes you feel like doing some on you own, for the love of god don't use SLAB6 and strip2voxel.It's the equivalent of using paint for sprites. I'm not sure if this falls within the scope of your endeavours but is it possible to convert the voxel decorations from Blood to something ZDoom can use?

Doesn't converting them to kvx with Slab6 work?
EDIT: I just remembered that I converted them all myself a while ago and put them in this archive.
So you don't have to download the whole thing, here are just the voxels.

Heh.You ask for a NS version of Hellspawn + voxelbro, someone made a floatbob addon for the AtV... soon I will need to release versions ranging from NS to spining, floatbob and glowing

Thank you, will download when I got to my laptop. Actually I want to do it myself, but I don't know anything about editing voxeldef. I'm afraid I would mess everything instead.

I am honestly fairly incompetent at this stuff, but how exactly would I get these to work? I've tried using the Samara download wad however I still have the original 2D sprites. Is this something where I am going to have to go into Slade and fix? If so what all needs to be done? I apologize for my noobishness for this kind of stuff.

Ok here it goes
1-Load samsaravoxels.pk3 together with the samsara file( drag both of them to gzdoom.exe or zdoom.exe)
2-It should change the ammo, the backpack expander and the health bonus to voxels
3-Optional-If you want weapon pickups voxels write "samsara_cl_pickupmode = 0" in the console to change the weapon pickups to the old style ( I personally don't recomend it, new sprites > old ones in voxels)
4-If it still isn't showing any change, check if your zdoom version needs updates(not likely as voxel support was implemented long ago), and check if your r_drawvoxels is set to 1
