Not right time to release 3.1.0, there are still pile of bugs which I found!

Vertices shape change is broken in last revision, crash after changing them when 2D map opened. Square vertices even are invisible.

Other issues:
-mispell thing "Dead Former Human Sargeant"
-map always using sprites/textures from another archive in tab. Even Im not choosing
-grid squares (64x64) is sometimes disappeared

Most of that should be fixed now, though I'm not seeing that misspelling, and I've never seen the 64x64 grid disappear, so not sure about those ones.

Also, a few questions for those who have been using/testing the map editor - how often are you using the generic object properties list (via the side panel or 'Properties' in the context menu)? And if you use it regularly, what for? I've tried to minimise the need to use it by making common tasks (eg. setting thing types or line specials) more easily accessible in other ways. If it is annoying/difficult to use and needs to be used regularly I might just end up creating custom properties dialogs for each edit mode like in SLADE2/DB.

Side panel used rarily. Actually I prefer use right mouse click for editing objects.


And some new issues for now:

Also the textures browser have strange behavior (Sometimes I need open ALL>TEXTURES. And flats are divided into doom2.wad and my.wad - but textures are inconveniently shown in one list.)

-ZenNode don't build nodes and freezes SLADE3. Outside SLADE3 ZenNode working without problems. Also, "Write zero reject" selected in ZDBSP options is anyway builds REJECT lump, and vise versa. Probably there are more wrong parameters related with node builders options.

-SLADE3 freeze on "Building sector polygons" when opening maps. This is because something changed in cfg file - deleting this cvars from slade.cfg resolve the problem:

P.S. Bug with toggling 3D mode finally fixed. At least I fix that by disabling "Use vertex buffer object" in OpenGL options.

I liked to make a suggestion, I know we can move enteries up/down, but can we move folders in pk3/zip too?

When I run latest, using the latest wxWidgets git, and try to open any map in the map editor I get this crash:

Update: pretty sure this happened because I did an out-of-tree build, using

cmake ..
make
instead of the wiki-recommended

When I tried the latter, the crash went away.

It may be nice to support the former at some point, as that's some peoples' preferred practice and the cause of the crash is non-obvious.

It's probably because an icon was missing, do you have a full copy of the 'dist/res' directory under 'build'? The res directory needs to be in the same directory as the executable.

Indeed, that was it, and because I was building in a dir of my own creation rather than dist/, it failed.

Hmm, can't reproduce this one, did it happen randomly or can you give steps to reproduce it?

I do not seem to be able to set the code language for any lumps. If it's a DECORATE lump it will set it automatically, same for MAPINFO, SNDINFO, etc. but that's it. Is this a bug? Now I don't have any of the features that you get by selecting the language.

Its happened because "Use vertex buffer object if supported" is turned off. Also, the 2D map FPS is drop from 60 to 20-30 if this option turned off. Anyway, now I turned on this (at least I didnt see 3D toggling crashes at the moment).


About grid disappearing which I mentioned before its happened sometimes after opening map (seems some lines have issues too)

I'm trying to put two texture packs (Gothic and Decon textures) into my wad.
Anyone knows how to do this properly?
