Sorry, it's not quite WIP, but still - check out some musical drones I managed to get with Audacity, using 0 pre-synthesized samples! There's first, there's second and then there's third. I can see it at some kind of a time attack space-themed game - just imagining though.

What interest me the most about this video is the reverb. How did you do that?

Rather simply, it's a small ACS script that spawns 2 sound environment actors once the map loads, one set to the reverb level, one set to 0 [no reverb], then a second script checks the current ceiling texture the player is under, if it's sky, it disables the reverb sound environment and activates the no reverb, and when the player is under a ceiling with no sky, the opposite happens. It works on all IWADS that use the F_SKY1 texture, so other idtech1 games won't work as they use other sky textures.

Very cool. I've only seen it in your video and Knee Deep in ZDoom. More modders should use it IMHO

I'm reminded of Deus Ex. If they exploded and ended up killing you it'd have been almost exactly like it. Awesome though, and less hacky looking than the old gravity gun.

*imagines the same video with dynamic music, an obnoxious CLANK, and the zombies making that same "gaaaarraaalaaaaahhhg!" sound everyone in Deus Ex makes*

The thing I remember most vividly from Deus Ex were the Robot Rave Parties. Summon a mess of the big mechs so that they make several layers of robots atop each other in a dense formation. Watch them bounce up and down while chanting "scanning area". Eventually they explode.

The other thing I remember was abusing the scale feature to spawn pigeons taller than most buildings.

Working on the Communications Tower part of my ship. . . A bit larger than I expected, but I rather like the (very EARLY) results. Through the skybox you'll be able to see other parts of the ship. I'm still getting my wits about editing (and the nuances... good lord.)

With some fog thrown in it really starts getting an oppressive vibe.

Oh, and a texture... >_>

All in all, quite happy!

So, yup.

The hud is a placeholder; the only thing of note is that the inventory bar is always open, which allows you to check and use your supplies quicker.

Due to the fact that Guncaster's MENUDEF only specifies stuff for Heretic, the main menu when viewed in Hexen looks like this:

But I thought it looked kinda neat, except for the fact that the logo isn't there and the text is right on the left edge of the screen. So, after messing around with it:

So I finished my mod which I featured a small sample of it in that previous YouTube video. Expect a release tomorrow. Hopefully it isn't too horrible, ha-ha
