Re: The WIP Thread
I'm doing that, yes.
Re: The WIP Thread
Seeing all of this Strife awesome-ness motivates me to play Strife, and I shall!
Re: The WIP Thread
The latest stones work pretty well, I'd also make the wall a little less regular (less straight lines).
Also, it would be great if you could finish the tree tops with something less straight-edged. Redneck Rampage uses masked textures and it works pretty well there:

I've also had this laying around, might be useful:

Ooh, thanks for that texture, it's nice.
You will be credited.
And yeah, I was planning to un-rectangulfy that wall.

Re: The WIP Thread
TheMightyHeracross, with the trees, perhaps insted of textures, have the first or first 2 layers as sprites? Just so it doesn't have the flat wall feeling.
Re: The WIP Thread
Yes, sure, go ahead! It was already posted in the custom resource thread IIRC, so it's for grabs for everybody.Sgt. Shivers wrote:Can I use that tree texture too?
I highly recommend taking a closer look at Redneck Rampage/Redneck Deer Hunting - out of games on sector engines, those have the best looking outdoors IMO.

Hey, that's a pretty good idea.dark-slayer-201 wrote:TheMightyHeracross, with the trees, perhaps insted of textures, have the first or first 2 layers as sprites? Just so it doesn't have the flat wall feeling.
Thanks everybody for their help so far! Even the little tips have helped the levels look much better.

Re: The WIP Thread
GORGEOUS.
Also, the sprite idea looks good on the forest map. Thanks again!

EDIT: Hard to see it in this screenshot. Let me get another one...

Re: The WIP Thread
It has bushes. I guess you can't see many in that screenshot, but I made sure it was a mix of trees and bushes.

Strife bandwagon ahoy!
Editing the weapons and items for DM play is going to be a right pain.
