Thank goodness.
And now a new Windows build (b3-150) is available on DRD Team. The highlights:
And now a new Windows build (b3-150) is available on DRD Team. The highlights:
- File type icons in the "recent files" lists
- Can now convert SWANTBLS syntax to ANIMATED and SWITCHES, and decompile ANIMATED and SWITCHES back into SWANTBLS syntax
- Playback of PC speaker sounds!
Re: SLADE v3.1.0 Beta 3 Released - first post updated
I built latest from source in Linux (Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit) recently and the binary compiled properly but it says it can't find slade.pk3. Does the make process build this file, or does it come from somewhere else?
Re: SLADE v3.1.0 Beta 3 Released - first post updated
Last revision bugreport.
-Two memory leak issues
1. Empty name of testing source port. Pushing Enter on "Run" window, then cancel game executable - emtpy option appeared. On next Slade launch, memory leak until it fills all RAM. This because of empty executable_paths "" in slade3.cfg
2. Memory leak and freeze when pasting sector to sector (WAD file is embedded, CTRL+C on sector 24 and CTRL+V to sector 26)
-Options "Thing shadow opacity" and "Thing angle arrow opacity" (in "Square+Sprite" mode) can not be saved
-Choosing sourceport is only .exe files
Can not choose binary in menu (e.g. zdoom, chocolate-doom). Can only by editing slade3.cfg
-3D mode - CTRL+T when pointing on things cause menu disappear (is there must be "Quick Thing" choosing?)
-2D map sprite render is messed again
Dragging some things - player sprite shown instead of pasted thing sprite (after pointing mouse on player). Also sometimes sprites just disappear after moving with RMB.
-Testing map wrong ("Run Map")
MAP01 can be tested withoud saving. But e.g. testing of MAP04 have strange behavior - changes were not applied, and if I do IDCLEV01 the MAP01 is my MAP04 with changes! (There is only MAP04 in wad)
-Random crash with the archives
Opened 2 wads > close 1 wad > crash
Happened only 1 time

slade.pk3 archive is actually zipped content of res folder.JPL wrote:I built latest from source in Linux (Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit) recently and the binary compiled properly but it says it can't find slade.pk3. Does the make process build this file, or does it come from somewhere else?

I do have a problem that i dont know if its slade but when i use it on windows 8 the text is slow when typing kind of like you finish typing and it keeps going for a little bit longer

Can you provide more details? By empty executable_paths, do you mean something like this?riderr3 wrote:-Two memory leak issues

Ah thank you, I think I'd accidentally deleted that directory somehow.riderr3 wrote:slade.pk3 archive is actually zipped content of res folder.JPL wrote:I built latest from source in Linux (Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit) recently and the binary compiled properly but it says it can't find slade.pk3. Yeah, I too noticed the slowness of the text editor. A particular case to mention is 'Find & Replace'. I took, as a test, ACC's zdefs file. I let SLADE find all occurrences of "#define" and replace them with "define". The whole process took between 45 seconds to a minute (just a rough estimate). I did the same test using Windows' Notepad, the replacement process was almost instantaneous.devildemon wrote:I do have a problem that i dont know if its slade but when i use it on windows 8 the text is slow when typing kind of like you finish typing and it keeps going for a little bit longer
