Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Strife time! Simple Assault Gun/Rifle edit, colored brown-> white in SLADE 3, then added some extra sights on the back. RIFGC0 has also been extended. I used zrrion's muzzle flash trick for the firing frames, and I added ADS frames. However, they may have the same flaw as the Eriance pistol ADS sprites I did, plus I used some copy-paste so you may see some patterns in the pixels. Still, I think it does the job. The ADS sprites are big so that it can actually align with the crosshair without cutting off.
EDIT: Oh, I added a hand onto the rifle too. Notice that it's not up near the magazine. Notice on the first pickup that there seems to be what looks like a magazine, even though it's supposed to be on the side? I interpret that as a handle, so I put the hand there.
EDIT2: I forgot, credits to, of course, Rogue as well as zrrion for his tutorial.
Spoiler: Regular sprites
Spoiler: ADS Sprites (Big)
Spoiler: Pickups, only recolorsBy the way, ignore the Twitter and Gmail stuff in the sheet, it's because of the website I used to compile the spritesheets.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Nice sprites! And yeah, Stitches is one of the greatest things ever since sliced bread.
What I do to compile sprites is that I organize the first row horizontally and save the result and so on, and then I compile all the rows made in vertical form. A little bit wonky and laborious, but it's worth.
Edit: PSX Doomguy's face done

Thanks! Also, nice PSX guy face there, I'm guessing those bottom parts are for death frames?

Heh, not really; those were just leftover references of a bald head that Xim did along with the face I used as a base half an hour ago.
I actually feel tempted to do the whole sprite of this dude. But first things first, I need to get some references for the blue jacket. Everything else (I hope) should come easily

Nothing beats MS-Paint in pixel art, at least to me, hehMarlboroMike2100 wrote:Its why I tend to chop shop and save the extra parts(arms, legs etc). Mind you I'm old schooled with classic MS-paint. Might make a editor/beginners life easiser.

Looks really good!IMX wrote: Edit: PSX Doomguy's face done
...About the picture; I'm wondering if the vest is supposed to be a flak jacket or something similar. The lower parts really look like 'basic' cloth however, but then there's the shoulder area. Seen the flap there?

Yeah, I'm feeling a little underdressed given that I don't have any female zombie scientist sprites to show off this time
