if you're interested about wad modding and stuff, it's simple and easy;
open this wad with slade or slumped, and find the event ACTOR or ACS, and set it's quake value into smaller number...and i just tried to search where is it, but it was failed; complex and takes a lot's of times. sorry bout that. i hope Pyroscourge would find this easily.
This isn't a good way of solving the issue. For starters, Winter's Fury uses radius_quake over almost all levels, so it would be a tedious task to go through and find each one. Also that would only fix the problem for Winter's Fury, and not other mods.
Well, after playing through MAP07B, I'd like to say that I don't think the timer was a good idea. Considering the fact that the level is very unique (and has a hard-to-find secret on it) forcing the player to finish it in about seven minutes feels a little harsh. Even though I never ran out of time, I beat the level with a minute to spare and had to leave behind a lot of ammo due to fear of running out of time.
When the timer is up you'll only get sent to exit. Seems it will disappear if you

But I agree the timer makes me feel I'm forced to finish the level and find all secrets in a very limited time, and it takes me about dozen of times rushing through the level and searching secret spots.

And I still don't know what makes the door to one of secret PDAs at the beginning of MAP07B open, as well as in MAP01. I thought I have to kill all enemies to get the doors open?

As long as Pyroscourge didn't change it from the previous version, there's a tiny switch hidden behind a tree out in the courtyard that opens the area.

Some secrets got changed in 1.2.

1st PDA is now behind the stuck door next to where Private Steel got killed, I only know it opens after I killed the last two iced mancubus.
2nd~4th PDA locations are unchanged.
5th PDA is now under the cliff next to the last soul sphere.
6th PDA now requires you to destroy the APC(?) at the beginning to get the blue key card.
7th PDA is now only accessible after you killed the two minotaurs. The hidden tiny switch is gone.
The secret BFG & 8th PDA (plus the super secret area) now require you to find six hidden corpses in the level before the timer is up. Four of them can be found in the outdoor yard (no more hidden tiny switch). One is behind the locked door at the beginning. One is behind the forcefields, so you have to use the yellow switch and kill all enemies first.
Fat chance of me getting the secret BFG then. Maybe it was because the weapon mod I was screwing me over in no automatic reloading (GZDA Advanced Weapons), but the 'Void' where the secret BFG is located requires constant cheating for me to even get through. I hate using iddqd,so I was using 'resurrect' a crapload and I guess 'resurrect' breaks the timer.
that was intensional, i think. because that difficulty is hardest also merciless. and it was need to be makes everything hard; either selecting it. and russian overkill and quake did it too.
Oh dear. Just noticed a bug in my revised version, regarding the animations for raising weapons. I've gone and fixed it and reuploaded to the same location as before. Sorry about that.
Just wanna say this really really good! So atmospheric and the action is still there too... I've had a couple of minor bugs but I think I'm playing 1.1....anyway, I haven't had this much fun playing Doom in years, not since I first played the likes of Dark7, Alien Vendetta, or Scythe 2. Well done!
