  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Welp, now he's busted.
This is outright plagiarism- even worse than drspam! You insist that you did it all by scratch even after they call you out on it! At least drspam didn't claim it as his own, and at least he would make very vague credits- crappy, for sure, but better than none at all! :grumpy:

I notice you have a tendency to make posts like this, usually variations on 'THIS IS AN OUTRAGE'". In all honesty, it's not doing much here - after all, we're all well-aware of what's happening in the thread.

Just let the events unfold and let mods do their job.

isn't that protron sprite from vectorman
edit: actually, hell, a lot of those seem like they're from vectorman
What's vectorman?

It surely looks similar, but as I'll show you on the video, I made that one from scratch. It's not hard, really.

And yea I'm busted, caught red-handed etc. etc., because it's a scientific fact that when someone uploads something here, it MUST be ripped. And I wasn't the one who continuously break the mandatory forum rules.

crikey, are you incapable of admitting to doing anything? it'd be perfectly acceptable if you were to just say that you did something wrong
also a comparison, they're pretty much a pixel perfect match with some different rescaling artifacts :V

I think we're done here.
DId I just sit through a movie? [genericpopcorngif.gif] I know wildweasel asked for a quick video, but you didn't have to go and make it fancy. Thanks for proving the legitimacy of the resources, by the way.

I wanted to make it as detailed as I could to avoid "this video is cut, you might have been ripping stuff between"-like stuff.
In fact, I missed the image manipulation through Adobe AfterEffects CS4 part, but if somebody wants to see it so bad, I can record it as well.

yknow honestly that video would be more bearable if you weren't being a passive-aggressive asshole the entire time in it
good job making completely different resources while proving pretty much nothing really
edit:

<marrub> I was expecting him to actually show off some impressive mimickry of those muzzleflashes to show that he's actually pretty good at drawing and just uses those for reference
<marrub> but nope
<marrub> he just drew some stupid shit in paint for 2 minutes

Sorry Reactor but I fail to see how that is even remotely similar to the icon in your first post. Do you have a psychological block that prevents you from giving credits or something? I doubt people would mind if you did.

I just returned what I received. What comes around, goes around.
As for "stupid shit drawing in paint" for 2 minutes, that was not the question. The question was, did I really make them or not. I did not film using up the entire yellow palette for the ready image, but if you want to see it, I'll record that just for you. You possibly fell asleep during the time I was applying the distortions on the image.
If the video wasn't convincing enough, well, believe what you want.

Crediting? I see no problems with that:

However, I'm not going to credit something which Is Not Ripped From Anywhere.

Closed pending investigation.

[edit] I don't see how your video proves anything. You can make a cube spin around. You can draw a little glowy circle thing. This doesn't prove where you got the rest of the stuff and the passive-aggressive arguments in the video aren't very nice either. I'm honestly more convinced by the rest of the posters in this thread than I am by your video, especially torrid.

Therefore, your thread will remain closed and I will issue you a warning over not just the lack of credits, but also your abhorrent attitude throughout the entire discussion and others like it.

And although I'm not sure that you'll actually listen to me, I'd like to advise you NOT to post any more resources in the Resources forum unless you give complete, full credit and can last the entire post without insulting anybody. You are being watched.
