Re: Extermination Day Megawad Project
Finally I think I found some appropriate resources to make the Mojave desert. Still not perfect, but as you can see from the earlier WIPs on the second page, I think it's a lot of improvement.
Is something wrong with these textures that I am failing to notice?darkhaven3 wrote:Hopefully around the same time Mark stops using autoalign on those startan textures
No. Only map-wise.Vampocalypse wrote:What kinda plan change? story wise you mean?.Sergeant_Mark_IV wrote:I have drastically changed some plans on this, and many maps are removed/added.

This is gonna be great. I hope the performance doesn't suffer.
I've been thinking about learning how to map.

Yes, autoaligning STARTAN and letting other structures cut into the texture looks really bad in this screenshot

Re: Extermination Day Megawad Project
I removed STARTAN from the sloped wall and realignated it on the rest of the walls. Looks better now?

Re: Extermination Day Megawad Project
Spoiler:I think that wall would look better like this. This way you can have the best of both worlds and have natural-looking STARG* and have an interesting bit of TEKWALL showing through. The realigned STARG* you have now does look better, but it's also weird that all of a sudden there's TEKWALL just right there with no transition
(you can thank esselfortium for making fireblu1 my new default texture in db2)

If I may add some input. I always thought Map 10 was a specimen lab of some kind. It would explain the area with the little alcoves with zombies in them.

Bump for the anticipation. Can't wait to start playing this! Looks very slick and varied.
