Nice fan. I like animated fan textures. They can be very useful and having more choices than the usual Strife or Duke Nukem options is good. 48x48 perhaps means that they will be less of a universal drop-in texture for any old map but its probably a more realistic size anyway.
Thanks, I've got more rotate alike textures about to get in here... :)

ImageImage (these two are different images btw)
the difficulty of making this is so low
it's rather insulting

Code: Select all

<Bloax> It's literally a layer style pasted over a hexagon pattern base I made in Genetica.
<Bloax> The style being a little edit of https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63152810/LayerStyles.png this one
<Bloax> and the texture literally as simple as https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63152810/Genetica.png
<Bloax> knowing genetica and photoshop pays off at some point

<Bloax> And then it's a matter of palettizing to and fucking around with blending various dithering methods together.
<Bloax> (and then palettizing again)

I tried making some 'retro-futuristic' panels inspired by Space1999 to mesh with the existing startan set, but something looks off about the inlays which bugs me. Only the first one really works.

The lamps look kind of out of place, maybe if you recolored the grey parts to match the color of the wires.

Thanks for the feedback to everyone who has replied to my textures and ETTiNGRiNDER thanks for mentioning that part i never noticed the lamps were misaligned as for the color of the wires that might take time i think as of now this whole texture thing is still a wip till i can find a better way to edit them. Anyone want to try to make similar edits of the textures i would like to see them. in the original iwad files they are called w109_ 1, w109_2, and w110 in the iwad of doom1.
