I never liked the eriance one as it doesn't really feel gibby enough for me.

anyway this WIP sheet needs some tweaking and I'm on a break for a bit so If anyone wants to leap in and give it a go while I'm off please feel free to do so...

i hope some advice should be help. why this frames don't feels like so gibby, i think because of those dissappearing bones. well, because bones are another organic part for every vertebrate creatures.
also third frame is moving so unstably. those ripped armor need to be rotate little bit for match with next frame's shape.

and good god finally you're doing so well about falling gibs.

Here is my attempt to make an alternative death animation of a Pain Elemental:

Here is the animated version for it, in case each frames look terrible when it's not animated:

Hmm. The two halves of the armor seem to turn rather sharply between the 3rd and 4th frames. In frame 3, could you rotate each armor piece about 30 degrees outward? The animation would interpolate better.

The only other thing that seems odd is how the bones seem to disintegrate and vanish entirely, I don't think it'll look too bad in action but it's more Heretic-like.

Looks good, though!

Yeah, I need to redo the 6th and 7th frame and paste them as transparent sprites to Paint.NET.

The eye socket could need some more details rather than a black hole I think

I could, but I'm going for the Hollywood design :P

That said, I've a few more I'll be doing for an upcoming project, so we'll see. Ballet pumps are not out of the question.
