Can you add new features?

Post by max »

(all as in DosDoom 0.64)

1) Player Teleportation Speed normal/quick/quickest
2) Stop monsters from being 100% accurate (Imps and other monsters is not 100% accurate shoot)
3) zombies with pistols and guns 100% accurate shoot

thank you.

Since this is in general and not editing, I will assume he's asking whether Randy can add these features to ZDoom rather than whether it's already possible for mod makers to use them.

If I'm right, then the answer is yes, he can. Whether he will do it is another matter, however :P.

2) is possible with A_CustomMissile and A_Jump, though you'll have to specify every single angle the thing should ever be fired in...

What do you mean by that? DosDooM? Version 64?

The player teleports instantly. You can't have him teleport faster than instantly without going back in time.

I've done 2) with the Hectebus. It had 2 guns for which it was done. Take a look at the DECORATE for it. Look for Bosses.zip in the /idgames archive. It's in there.

Yeah, Mancubi are known greatly for their bad aiming in the DooM community

Wow, I've really fallen behind, didn't even know there was a Boss Monster Resource Wad until now... ::starts checking the editing forum again::

EDIT of original EDIT: Nevermind, found the answer to the question.

Actually the Mancubus has a pretty good aim. It's just made random by the player's movement. It will always fire one fireball straight at you while another one goes off to the side at a set angle.

The Mancubus has three different shots it performs in this order each time he attacks you.
The shots would look like this:

Pretty sure it's not a random order. I thought the order was always the same.

It's a fixed order. The middile diagram should apear at the right then it is the correct order when read from the left. ALWAYS.
