Which is also a BJ edit. =PCaptain J wrote:wow cool shivers, also his costume remind me a weasel...you know, player sprite from every wildweasel's wad.

I can imagine his shield later self destructingFinalizer wrote:
All frontal animations are finished. Just got to do rotations for a few frames (main weapon firing/pain), do a little clean up, and it'll be ready for prime time~
Also, 2kb over the filesize limit for attatchments, heh.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Nice work Finalizer!
I think the mix between Cybruiser and Hellwarrior works really well and the Cannon/shield combo is unusual, but a cool feature IMO.
I wish you would have taken the Hellwarrior death sequence as a base for this monsters animation though
Yeah, it would have been much more work but still... I kind of dislike this exploding-death-thing in general tbh, it always seemed awkward to me in the case of the Cyberdemon back when I first played the game!
Another downside is that the corpse won't differ from the Cybruiser one (in case they'll ever show up in the same map). This might be trivial, but it matters to me and maybe a few other people. In theory it also has a strategic impact, in the aforementioned case that this monster is used along with Cybruisers and Arch-viles are included.

A couple of pickup sprites for something which may or may not happen in the future:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I was just gonna have him toss the shield Hell Warrior-style. I could have him toss the shield, which then explodes. One last surprise, hehe...Gothic wrote:I can imagine his shield later self destructing
It's something I'd been thinking over, and the Cybruiser death sequence is definitely the path of least resistance here. It's just as you say though - a lot easier than trying to make the legs and launcher look proper in the Hell Warrior's death sequence, which the thought of trying to get right scares me, though I could possibly cheat and just have the launcher fall off like with the Terminator. Fair point on the Archviles and other Cybruisers though. I might try to have a standard death, and leave this in for a gib sequence, we'll see.Vader wrote:I wish you would have taken the Hellwarrior death sequence as a base for this monsters animation though

On one hand; cool, nice edit, looks good.
On the other; you have combined two of the most annoying Baron variants - why would you do that?!

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Pfft, the most annoying Baron variant is obviously the Stone Knight (as seen in RGA2; it keeps reviving itself over and over if you're unlucky)CaptainToenail wrote:On one hand; cool, nice edit, looks good.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
It would be worse if he combined the cybruiser and the bruiser demon (and maybe the pyro demon)CaptainToenail wrote:On the other; you have combined two of the most annoying Baron variants - why would you do that?!
