[Request]Black Hole Gun projectile sprites

[Request]Black Hole Gun projectile sprites

Would anybody be able to make sprite set for a superweapon projectile for me? I've been trying to make a good Black Hole Cannon weapon, but there aren't any projectile sprites that fit what I'd like to do. What I had in mind, standard projectile a little bit larger than a rocket, normal enough explosion animation, but then after that it sticks around for a few seconds playing a looping animation (kind of like Lux's Lucent Singularity ability, in League of Legends, if you've played it. Not really necessary), and then a much larger explosion.

If anybody could do this, that would be awesome! I utterly fail at stuff like this (I've tried, believe me).

Zero Tolerance has a weapon that is black hole-ish, and it might have what you're after.

Kind of, but not exactly what I'm looking for. There wait-and-rotate animation looks alright, but I'm looking for a smaller projectile and explosion, and a massive explosion afterward.

How about the Dark Matter Gun from Quake 4? I'll also need to use that one, so I can give it to you once I'm done with the rip...

That might work for part of it, yeah. I remember being unsuccessful with trying to get projectile sprites for the Dark Matter Gun when I was working on Q:NA, though. :P

You just have to be a little bit more persistant, that's all :) the Dark Matter Gun's projectiles are globes, so it doesn't matter if they're sprites or not, a globe will always look the same, no matter which direction you look at it. Using the hidden ammo room at "Nexus core" level, it should be easy to hard rip the Dark Matter Gun.

Once I'm done with it, I'll upload it to here. I still need the correct measures for the frames, if you could help me with that, I'd be more than happy to present all the frames.

As for the projectile itself...well, here is a little "sumthin" I made. It needs some work (for example, electric discharges and such), but I'm done with the hard part for ya. It was meant to be an anti-matter projectile for the Anti-matter cannon in Tristania 2, but with a little work, I made them to be small blackholes :) This should be a fine size for a projectile...bigger than a rocket or a BFG blast, but still not big enough to block your vision. :D

That's awesome! Now I just need an initial projectile and an explosion for the vortex part.

The explosion will be hard-ripped from Quake 4 very soon (the original Dark Matter Gun explosion should do it). As for an initial projectile...I might have that one too,if you could show me an example, what an "initial projectile" should look like.

Well, dunno if you still need it, but actually Hunter's Moon already have Dark Matter Gun ripped from Quake 4 with sprites and stuff

I did those sprites, since it's a bit impossible to rip the original Dark Matter Ball because it is pure shader code done in id Tech 4.
if this can be usefull, then i show the explosion code and sprites.

Yeah, that is better than I expected for something like this! I don't know how, but you made sprites look like a full on Id Tech 4 shader. :P
