Not exactly sure who made em

That would be NeoWorm -- he made it for his Fighter+ mod. Neat sprites, that. :)

The claw seems a little too small for the fighter's big hand to fit in.

Is he saying nom nom nom?

Anyone able to improve it?
Well, I worked on it a little further and it's now at about the limit of what I can manage. Unfortunately, to my eye at least, it's very easy to see exactly which bits I have slid around to try and make it work. You can see obvious chunks of his lips moving as he speaks and I have only partially managed to disguise that. If needs be, I can use this but the invite is still open to anyone who can improve it.

The images are repeated in the gif. I've actually only added 3 frames (plus the eye movement because, well why not? :P ). My mouth animation pics are inside the spoiler:

You might want to give the sides of the jaw (close to hinges) a bit less movement. Other than that, it's pretty good!

If you'd like to improve it further, you might want to add some frames with other lip "movements"

To my untrained eye, it actually looks pretty good. The one issue is the visible aliasing around the lips on the fully-open frames, which I suppose is what Enjay was referring to as "obvious chunks".

You might want to play with the jawbone all the way up to his ears, where the joint is, to look best.

I'm not sure that I have done the right thing moving the shadow under the cheekbone down with the jaw but moving the jaw right up to the ears does make a difference:

I'll be resizing it a bit smaller when I use it. Perhaps some of the resizing blur will hide some of my ineptitude.

I've no idea what he is saying now when I try to lip-read him. Perhaps I should try some of the mouth shapes too. That may push my skills beyond their limit though.

Does anyone have any generic radio sounds? If not, maybe the combine sounds from half-life could work.

This is a bit of a long shot...

I don't suppose anyone knows of a conversion of these models (or perhaps some very similar ones* instead) from System Shock 2 to a format that GZDoom could use do they?

*I am aware of the Rhino robot model for QuakeII but the rhino theming to the head/torso makes it look a little too comical IMO.
