Another HD sprites project.. (OH NO! here we go again...)

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Ooh, those extra frames are lookin' sweet. Obviously, you'd be animating them less regularly in-game than the gifs here, so the Demon's mouth closes faster than it opens, etc. but we get the idea. Definitely a good project idea.

A much better idea, I approve! :D

However, I think the imp's torso is too wobbly in his walk cycle. He looks like he's tilting from left to right, almost like he's dancing.
The other animations look good though.

Personally, I'm much more interested in the extra animations you've made rather than "HD" sprites. You don't necessarily have to request a thread lock, but I would definitely like to see more animations.

You could just rename it and repurpose it in the first post. I'd find that locking this thread just to start a new one would just be a waste of time and space.

[edit] Or apparently you decided to start a new thread anyway. Well, I'm leaving this one unlocked in case you decide you want to keep using it.

These are very nice, indeed! I think the imp walk animation will look much better when he's actually in game. Now, he's just stepping in place, which is what you'd expect from a gif on a web page!

You know, a moprhing program might be able to add inbetween rotations as well, for 16 angles altogether. Never tried to morph anything that small, though.

Hi I am an artist and was interested in helping out with this mod but I had a question. Is this the same mod as http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... ct#p631105 ? I really loved the pinky sprites and shotgun sprites in that mod and would love to contribute to a mod of that style and caliber. I have not modded anything before but am very skilled in photoshop and am considered an excellent artist and illustrator. My personal interest in this, is that I feel there is no real way around improving the quality of the sprites, beyond what gz doom and doomsday already do, without redrawing and to a degree redesigning the original monsters. I have had a personal interest in this for a long time, and was rather disappointed in doom 64 and doom 3's reinterpretations of the demons.I have followed doom mods since 95 or so and have been waiting for this to be released and now I feel the only way to see it is to help make it happen myself. I would need a bit of instruction as to how to go about creating the sprites (format, image size, whatnot) but feel I am more than capable of at least finishing an enemy or two for the project in my spare time.

It's dead anymore (I see the previous posts, and i see it's dead). Sarge is also banned, so, we can't see any news anymore and to his other projects too.
