Why are we naming the genre "first-person shooter" when it is so clear that what's actually fun is the reloading part? They should be named "first-person reloader". Also I think there should be reload animations for the fist and chainsaw.

OK, but if it holds 300 rounds then unless you have a backpack there's no reason for there to be a reload. There's already a reason for there to be no reload, and it's that having to reload the murder machine that is the minigun would cut short many a fine marine's kill boner. Nobody wants to see a marine who has had their kill boner blue-balled. It's not pretty. They get all mopey and stuff, and start writing poetry. Sad, I know.

So please. Think of the marines.

Why does blood hurt the player now? First it was random gibs, now blood? I cant kill anything now without taking blood damage which is utterly massive when using the SSG, I seriously hope this is unintentional...

Yea the reload animation would be wiping the blood off. :P

revenants will going to be a worse when doomguy shoots bullethells at them while they are trying to reload their missiles.

You don't take damage from blood. Doomguy just grin when he gets demon blood all over himself. I can relate.

Well, earlier versions had a bug where blood actually damages you or other enemies if something gets splattered near you/them. A point-blank SSG blast was extremely lethal for the player. Seems USSRBear had the bug pop up again for him.

Seems like this bug happens because GZDoom uses a different damage detection than Zandronum. The blood deals an area damage of 1,5. The engine only counts 1 damage to all the extension of the explosion radius. When the player takes damage from it and activates the script to show the blood splash, it automatically heals 1 hit point. And now seems like the GZdoom damage detection system that doesn't ignores the 0,5 damage.

Well, I think I will have to completely remove the blood splashing on screen feature.

Hmm...after some more playtime, that blood glitch is really random. It was incredibly frustrating when I was playing Alien Vendetta,however after I played around in Plutonia 2 the blood wasn't hurting me, or at least not as often. I'm playing on Zandronum, if that helps with anything.
