Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash skin)
Re: [SKIN and MONSTER] Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash spri
No? What's wrong with it? I think it looks pretty neat and pretty much exactly what it is meant to look like.

Two things.
One: On an armor protection level, it screams "extremely easy and critical vulnerable point! Shoot at me!"
Two: If it was the exact thing you described, it wouldn't have that little bit of cleavage shown within it. It looks more like unprotected skin painted gray. Look closely near the middle-bottom of it.

Don't worry. That's not a problem at all.Bouncy wrote:On an armor protection level, it screams "extremely easy and critical vulnerable point! Shoot at me!"

@LilWhiteMouse
That's no armor, but it still looks cool.
Yes, I agree that (according to my thoughtless senses) there is cleavage. It's not a bad thing. Sometimes, the sprites is supposed to look cool than to follow some set rules. I request for Doomgirl skin w/ skin cleavage. I myself consider these sprites as the next Crash skin. Kudos!
If there is a need for a full armor suit, then just use polygon shape, that ought to match the male body armor.
@Virtue
There is the crouch sprite set (another difficult task). Get ready to make different color variations.

Yes. Like if you're using it as a multiplayer skin.RV-007 wrote:Sometimes, the sprites is supposed to look cool than to follow some set rules.
For my use - an in-Doom-universe female marine - there's no way it'd get pass any regulatory check if it leaves a massive chunk exposed in a critical area.
One day, people will learn stylisation does not equal removing a woman's clothing. Quake 2 was reasonable in that regard.

Just a quick "fill in" because I don't have the talent required to do a proper job. Doesn't look too awful to me.
Seen like that though, the "metal" does look a bit like recoloured skin I'm afraid.
LOL at randi's video.

Found these on my HD.

That's bit of a mis-match. The helmet looks quite big and I can't say much about the chest since I don't know how to draw angles. That's progress I guess.
Re: [SKIN and MONSTER] Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash spri
Funny thing is, the helmet is probably closer to the right size. The Doomguy would actually be struggling to get his head inside the helmet the way it is shown in his sprite versus the size of the former human heads.

she looks flat chested.Enjay wrote:Just a quick "fill in" because I don't have the talent required to do a proper job. Doesn't look too awful to me.

I never liked those sprties, theyre blatant resized Doomguys, the rifle doesnt look like a rifle and her arms are too thin, and head too big.
Re: [SKIN and MONSTER] Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash spri
Almost like she was a realistically proportioned female wearing real armour.Virtue wrote:she looks flat chested.
Spoiler:
I seem to have said this a lot over the last couple of days but I really don't think the head is too big. If anything, the Doomguy's head/helmet is slightly too small for someone wearing a protective, full face helmet.I never liked those sprties, theyre blatant resized Doomguys, the rifle doesnt look like a rifle and her arms are too thin, and head too big.
Where does his chin fit? Why is the zombie's hair poking out of the top?
I'm also OK with it being a "blatant resize" of the Doomguy. I mean, fair enough. It's supposed to be a female version of the Doomguy. Same uniform, same army, er, marine corps etc. Same marine, just a smaller frame. Not a different species.
Re: [SKIN and MONSTER] Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash spri
im working on a green chested version.
Re: [SKIN and MONSTER] Doomgirl Skin (based on my Crash spri
Excellent. I look forward to seeing it. Thanks for doing this.

A combat armor will not outline the shape of the boobs, quite to the contrary. At most, it'll end up looking like a bar-shaped monoboob. The point of the breastplate is to deflect blows away from the body, not funnel them into the sternum.
