Yeah I'm not sure about the front sight. Being able to see through it might not make sense with regards to the extreme low resolution and the angle at which we're viewing the rifle.

Was the hood standard issue?

aiming point is big and awkwardly shaped.
how about 3x3 pixels?
and another ploblem is gunstock needs more shading.
Done and done. Progress so far:

All that's left now are the rest of the frames and some minor tweaking.
Thanks for the feedback!

@Bren: The front sight isn't going to be used for aiming in-game. I think the hoods were standard issue, but soldiers preferred to have them off if I remember correctly. I decided to keep it on anyways.

My attempt at making an "Express HD" sprite of SARGA1
The idea is to test the possibility of making "not so good but still ok HD" sprite in a quick time.

The big thing that would make this plausible, with good quality even - is if we could somehow organize who does what part of a spriteset.

Having some stuff to slap on would also speed things up.

Ooh, maybe the spritework can also be done for the monsters from the NES Gozilla Creepypasta? ;)

EDIT: There's a site for that.

I'd like to see those Godzilla sprites being implemented in a mod to sometime in the future.

Well, in the last project, the main issue was the focus. The author never got satisfied with the final result, and had to change the concepts all the time.

My attempt at making a HD marine in 15 minutes.

That's part of organization, setting a concrete goal and following it until the end.
