[SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I dunno guys.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The mirroring is too obvious. Makes it looks a bit odd, IMO, though blanking out one side makes it look like a good start.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The thing that bugs me in every mirrored HUD sprite (especially for stuff like guns akimbo) is how the lighting is mirrored too.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Well I have an unmirrored version too.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The problem with using 3D models for things like that is performance drops quite a lot when you have a large amount on-screen.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
If randy/graf want to add some sort of way to render sprites flat to the ground instead, I'm all for it. But coin sprites just look awful IMO, I think these look a lot better. Besides, there are ~22 total tris on screen there, and I didn'th notice any big hit (brutal doom on the other hand...).

Yeah, it'd be an awesome feature to have. Many mods would benefit from it (Brutal Doom to name one)

Hastily made in gimp, they of course require gzdoom...because the equivalent feature in zdoom has been noed.
If somebody has a cylinder model I could use to make coin stacks with this, i'd be quite happy. Hell, I might even try to make some nice textures.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Could be used for; alternative standing frames, reloading gun frames (using both), getting pissed off that the gun is jammed (using both), etc.
Quibus unus utrum eligitis?

anyway, i made a lot's of rotations of the 16-bit style missiles.
hey, what are you expecting for? it's just a little retro art style.
anyway, i'm going to decorate those missilies in next time.
and, original sprites from soldier blade; the epic 16-bit shooting game made by hudson software.
EDIT: i forgot about talking about decorates.
i'll send decorated wad to WIP thread.

Here's a sorta hellish assault rifle that I'm working on:
Credits so far go to Eriance (for a majority of the resources used), osjclatchford, zzrion the insect, Blox, Banjo Software, and Rogue Entertainment
And after putting it on the backburner for a while, I finally got back to working on this centered SW Riot Gun, where I think I managed to fix the perspective/scale issues:
