Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

If you were referring to the ZDoom64 branch, keep in mind that I have been in communication with Kaiser and he even has encouraged me to continue work on it on a few occasions. I have also contributed a small amount of code to the project (cross platform fixes) and have also helped improve modability by pointing out some cross compatibility issues (PNG alpha channel for example). Definitely nothing spiteful or unnecessary here. :) Besides, the sole reason I want to work on ZDoom64 is to see how well I can get it to run in the software renderer.

I don't see anything wrong with another source port supporting the game - the more the better, I'd say. I mean, if you think of Doom itself, how many ports for it out there?

And as for driving the port into obscurity, I don't think it'll happen. As much as ZDoom and GZDoom are popular, they didn't/don't obscure other source ports and there are, in fact, still some people who prefer other ports over them.

No disrespect to Kaiser and his port, but I'd prefer to play the game with (G)ZDoom if it ever happens.

I don't remember Duke Caribbean vacation weapons in Doom64 either.

This is why I just stick with Doom64Ex! A pure, no fan-cruft project.

If it has nothing to do with Doom 64 or your project, why did you post it, then? :?
