Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Ugh, I just had a sudden burst of genius and thought of just making a freaking poll in the topic, but there are more than 10 options here. So most likely after this first release I'm going to just leave a poll up and go on that. Sorry for being disorganized. :P

Yes! A lot of time has been spent working on cool reload animations for these, although I can't really vouch for special functions because I'm not too sure for what you mean there. Things like alternate fires aren't included because I'm really bad at coming up with those sorta things. :P

ALRIGHT! So right now it looks like we're looking at the Gravesetter and the Matchmaker being toe to toe in votes, with the Mine Launcher being a very close second place. I'll keep taking votes until 12/19 and such.

Just to let you guys know, I know that you've seen some of these released in various mods (the Shockwave is in All Out War II, for instance), but I've done a lot of touching up and such on them. I've learned a lot over the past three years surprisingly. :P

There's a very good reason I haven't released those, because those both belong to my in-progress wad and I wasn't keen on any of those appearing in anything before their official debut.

Okay, I know none of you are wondering, but yes, I'm still working on things. I've had a really hard couple of weeks and I figured I'd actually be free this time of the year, but alas this is not the case. I'm trying to wrap up about six guns for you guys to consume and such, so stayed tuned! Sorry for hyping it up, probably should've finished them before I did that.

I don't think I could've chosen, I wouldn't mind waiting on all of them mostly because I don't think I could stand to choose a favorite, personally I really liked the magnum, and the shotguns, and I really think the angled MP40 would be sweet to see in a Wolfenstein inspired wad/pk3.

If you ever think about asking for votes again, I'd say a shorter list might be more managable, plus I spend more time drooling when I look at page 8 than I do thinking about favorites.

considering the quality and efficiency of your spriting you're prolly one of the few people who could get away with doing comissions for weapon sprites :p

I wish I could do commissions for sprites, but I'd feel bad when (at the moment) I'm doing glorified frankenspriting and such. Of course, it's very involved but I won't try to downplay what it is :P

I was pretty naive to think I could pull this off, considering my recent work load with projects in and out of the Doom community :\ BUT HEY! The good news is that I'm working on a ton of stuff for the Works and I'll hopefully be releasing this fairly soon. Sorry for the hype! :P

Ah yeah, I saw the M1911 the marksmith was based off in an abandoned sprite set, I kinda wish the original had reload animations because it's the best looking angled M1911 I've seen.

Also just wondering is it okay to edit these resources to customize to your own game so long as you are properly credited for the base sprite?

The Marksmith is actually based on a model rip and not any existing sprite sets. And yes, uh...to answer your second question, you can make further edit to these if you like as long as you credit the authors listed in the .txt file and myself.

Really? It looks remarkably like the M1911 from Necronixxus' abandoned spriteset from Demonic minds, is yours actually the original or something?
