To specify, I meant simply editing the glow entry's from BD itself (they wouldn't be anywhere else). Simply either delete or just omit them with slashes.

I mainly removed because in a dim room with nukage making the sprites fullbright looks silly and CEIL3_3's magic glow did look out of place.

I don't think that's how Australia's game regulations work.TheLlewe wrote:Can You Please Make A Low Violence Version? (Due To Australia's Censorship To Violence On Video Games)

I don't think government regulations extend to something that hasn't been sent past a ratings board because it isn't being sold.TheLlewe wrote:Can You Please Make A Low Violence Version? (Due To Australia's Censorship To Violence On Video Games)

Well, Do you remember the release of Left 4 Dead 2, when the Australian government forced Valve to censor the gore.wildweasel wrote:I don't think that's how Australia's game regulations work.TheLlewe wrote:Can You Please Make A Low Violence Version? Re: Low Violence Version
I don't think you understand what is happening here. The Brutal Doom mod is not being submitted to The Australian Classification Board. It is not a commercial product in any way, shape, or form. Conversely, Left 4 Dead 2 is a commercial video game made, distributed, and sold by a company. As such, the company (Valve) is subject to State and Territorial laws if it wants to continue doing business in those areas.TheLlewe wrote:Well, Do you remember the release of Left 4 Dead 2, when the Australian government forced Valve to censor the gore.wildweasel wrote:I don't think that's how Australia's game regulations work.TheLlewe wrote:Can You Please Make A Low Violence Version? Until the ACB begins monitoring and regulating mods in addition to Advertisements, Films, Games, and Books, (something that would, arguably, be a fool's errand), I don't believe you're obligated to be a Good Little Brother and restrict yourself from Brutal Doom.

Re: Low Violence Version
How the hell do you make a LOW VIOLENCE version of a mod that is BUCKETS FULL of blood and gore???TheLlewe wrote:Can You Please Make A Low Violence Version? (Due To Australia's Censorship To Violence On Video Games)
I don't think they'd care unless you explicitly be telling your officials you love this kind of mod..

If you want a low violence version, consider playing doom on its own...without monsters.
DOOM isn't restricted or banned in Australia and brutal doom is only a mod. If you want you could make all the blood green or something
I hear that's all the rave in Germany.

I would play thisblackfish wrote:Easy. Replace all the blood with flowers.
I would play the everloving shit out of this
EDIT: though it's no less violent since you're killing stuff
Maybe if all the guns were replaced with orgasmo beams and the blood was replaced with cum EDIT2: and the story was adapted so everyone was a consenting adult

Re: Brütal Doom v0.17: Brutal Halloween Edition
I would like to report a bug. I'm not sure if it has been reported before, but anyway...
if you get an invuln sphere, it works normally, but if you perform a fatality on a creature the invuln doesn't take effect anymore even though the screen is still tinted.

Re: Brütal Doom v0.17: Brutal Halloween Edition
That bug's been reported so many times I'll just suggest a solution:
have a separate ACS script and/or inventory flag just for tracking when someone's got the invuln sphere, and after a fatality give back the invulnerability if, according to that independent tracking method, the sphere hasn't run out yet.
