My guess is the original author lost the wad in a format, and that he's trying to find some old rendition of a ultimate doom mod. The article seems to indicate some of the areas that the mod dealt with was with macchu picchu (?) and apparently some dueling stuff. Seems like the mod is based upon something related to peru being invaded or some ridiculousness.

First sentence seems to go: "Here's the situation: Chan-Chan(?), Machu Picchu, and the ruins of spain have been converted into hell."

The name in the picture seems to be related to something called the "Tavern of the Dragon"


Judging from the pics, I bet it dates back to the DWANGO days.

I think Haso3Doom is asking for that mod, which seems to take place in Peru.
From what I can see, the article talks about the early days of Doom modding, and more specifically the Doom community in Peru.
Haso3Doom, maybe you should try Arcades3D which is a spanish speaking Doom community, I bet they will know more about that mod than us do :wink:

Hello.. i'm Alex Cruz (creator of that wad and the guy of the photo.. jeez, that was 20 years ago)

I''m glad to know someone remember my work from those days (just tried to google by curiosity and found this link, thought this post was 2012 ..is still recent if you compare the year where that Doom in Machu Picchu was made)
Anyways.. i'm affraid i don't have any copy of that WAD anymore, it was hosted on the server of the RCP (Peruvian Cientific Network) but that was like decades ago.. I lost my own copy with my hard drive just few years later also,
if i remember well it was never finished.. it was only 1 and half level ... and machu picchu ruins was not the only ones there, there was chan chan and chavin recreation ..levels with lot of traps in the indiana jones style, really
wish to have those files again... I hope someone contact me in that case
