did you know that a simple actor name can crash all your work instantly ?

i've got 2 big problem with that..

i've made a town guarde named Knight in HEXEN but because one monsters in HERETIC already have this named, i got a bug that makes the game crash when you go through maps.. exemple, map01..map02 and map01 again

and i've made a snake but another monster in HERETIC have this name too.. and you know what happens..


remember that, if you did not know already because it's really frustrating..

I tend to just prefix all my "generic" actor names with a code, like WWBlaster or something (because guess what, Heretic has a weapon called that!).

it's a good idea, i will remember that, maybe that will be useful in a near future :)

just making a big map of all the maps of my game.. quite huge..
on foot with the heretic starting at mortila and walk to the swamp it take near 4min :)
just to show you a little bit of my big project, but none of the maps here is really finished.

also you can go in the tavern to drink some beers.
and i managed to make a script that make you drunk, after a little time you fall and begin to dream, you wake up under a bridge or near the town in the wood.
