Taciturn, but an interesting look. I have to admit, when you listed examples of people being interviewed to me, LilWhiteMouse was the one that most caught my interest. Up until now she was essentially just a body of unique ZDoom mods to me - a few of which I've played and enjoyed. Makes quite an interesting contrast with Torm, who was generally considered to be "Mr Promotion" (although he is a lot quieter as of late, from what I've seen) :P

It's been a solid bunch of interviews so far! Xaser's interview after we get past this next jerk should be well-worth a read too, I think.

Contrast being the operative word here (i.e., you hit the nail on the head). Even though the personalities of the various Doomers who post/contribute on the forums become fairly evident, an interview does serve to turn a spotlight on key personality traits, and how they differ from those of other Doomers.

Indeed, it is. Highly entertaining.
.... after we get past this next jerk ...
Ha! Ha!

I loved this reply from LilWhiteMouse:
LWM: Power corrupts. Fame is just another form of power. Once you're put on a pedestal, the only direction is down. Recognition leads to nepotism, and I want my work to stand on it's own, or fail on it's own.
Can I steal it? ;)

It's the Internet. There's no such thing as 'stealing' on the Internet. Is there?

Heh.

My apologies for the delays in getting out more interiews. I have been insanely busy at my job, and have had no time for DooM-related stuff for a while.

Anyhow, I have completed interviews with Xaser, The Ultimate Doomer, Scuba Steve, and Eruanna. Those interviews will appear in that order, hopefully starting soon.

What's his real job anyway? Tempted to think he's a comedian. But we all know better than that

I can assure Xaser that he missed out on nothing with DEU :P Fun to see how his almost-out-of-the-blue development and splash in to serious mapping actually was jsut as sudden for him as it seemed to me too!

I have completed interviews with The Ultimate Doomer, Scuba Steve, and Eruanna. I'll be posting them soon.

I've not heard back from Sergeant_Mark_IV (the developer of "Brütal Doom"), so give him a shout out to complete the interview and send it back to me.

I've slated an interview for DBThanatos, one of the key developers of ÆoD and DoomStorm, and a major contributor to Paranoid and The Phobos Directive.

I'm eyeing a few other candidates, but I welcome suggestions.

How about Esselfortium or Chubzdoomer?

Also: It think it was actually Hellbent that got a hold of John Romero for DTWID, but maybe I did and just don't remember :P I know I managed to contact him a few times with some questions about DoomEd, though.

Well, some of you must have read my post and pestered Sergeant_Mark_IV, because he completed his interview today. Very cool.

Essel is one of several people I've asked, but not heard from. I agree that he would be a good interviewee, particularly in light of the recently-released SpaceDM9.

I'm not very familiar with Chubzdoomer's work, but I'll research it a bit and see if I can come up with enough interesting questions. Now, Hellbent is someone who has been quite busy in the DooM community, even before DTWID. I'll look into featuring him.
