I have no inspiration, remember? Only motivation. (Which is such an aggravation.)

Snap, crackle, pop! Now there's break-action for you. :P
A shotgun can look like anything and work in whatever way it wants as long as it sounds cool... and murders things with buckshot goodness. BLAP!

True. I think if you made a few more frames of it though I'd have greater judgement :)

The sprite on the left will work as a flare gun.

While you're at it, you should fix the shading. I've been harping on this for years, but Blake Stone stuff always looks out of place outside of Blake Stone because for some reason, the art staff shaded them as if they were... I guess front lit, but sometimes it seems a bit all over the place. If somebody did some versions with Doom style shading, or hell, at least some sort of quick hacky attempt at making them look less flat, it'd be pretty invaluable considering how many edits of those guys you see floating around.

Also, I think that looks pretty great. Don't know why you'd call that shitty!

Thanks

lol, nah its not that much shitty if you ask me.
But in previous posts, people start saying their weapons-work was shitty.
And to be honest I dont find them shitty... nobody does anyways. :P
They are actually pretty good as how the sprites are.
I just jumped on the bandwagon about the shitty-calling-thing hehehe  .

Anyways, well, i think i'll let someone else do the shadings and lights.
All i actually want to do are the rotations, and i use the same colors as what the original front sprite has.
I dont want to sound cocky, but i think doing the rotations is more important than shading them Doom-style.
Not much people are having time or the patience to do the most work and that is making rotations.
I mean, shadings is a much easier task, and i'll leave that up to other graphical artists.
And if in the end nobody is able to do so, i'll do it later...

Just get Bloax to do the shading, it seems to be his specialty.

His right arm does seem to be quite a bit longer than his left in that one.

I agree that this one needs a little more work, but keep note that the arms are not suppose to be in the same position alongside his body.
As you compare them to the front sprite, you can see that one arm is slightly backwards and the other slightly forwards.
That may be the cause that the length of them are slightly different.
In the GRALB2 and GRALD2 the arms are more for- and backwards.
Still.... aside of that, the arm indeed needs a little more attention, i'll agree. Thanks for noticing this.

I agree. He has indeed the desire skill to do so. , yet, im not going to ask him to do this...
I'll leave that choice up to him or others to do this.
For now there is only one rotation as posted here, so there is not much to lighten and/or shading this Blake Stone Alien just yet.

As far as metallic/plastic (I.E. not organic) stuff, sure. I don't think I've ever seen him shade something organic in a way I liked at all. :P

(I realized I still have that atrocious Corvus face edit AdBlocked... )
