Also, getting AliensTC to work on your PC under XP shouldn't be a problem as far as I know.

You have no idea how much that WAD impacted mappers like me. I tried editing in 1993 and HATED it. Adding stuff was easy, but anything else confused the hell out of me. Then I played UAC_DEAD.
It was reminiscent of the scene from Blues Brothers when Jake "saw the light". From that moment on I didn't care how long it took me, I was gonna map for DOOM.
