(Request) Various Blood sprites
The sprites form Caleb in ZBlood are very pixelated compared to the original from Blood (also many frames are missing). For example, the frames of Caleb morphing into the beast. The Cultist has most of his frames in good quality in bludsp. The only ones that are missing are of him in prone position, and also of him morphing into the beast. The beast himself has some frames in the ZBlood mod, but not all. There are also frames of Caleb's hands morphing into the beast that I have never seen in any Doom wad.
So what I ask for is:
Caleb sprites that look more like the originals, except with the green color for his pants (like in ZBlood) and the beast morph
Cultist sprites of him in prone position and morphing into beast (also in the green color)
All of the beast's walking and attacking frames
Caleb's hands morphing into the beast.
Unless someone can really tell me how to do this (make these graphics into Doom format), then I'm going to need someone to do it for me, sadly.

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
If I recall correctly, there are .ART files in the Blood directory.
Start SLADE 3.
Use the palette selector to choose the Blood palette.
Create a new zip archive.
Drag and drop the .art files into this new zip archive (temporarily empty) entry list. The list becomes automatically populated by the .art files because SLADE is awesome.
Select an art file, click on the "Graphic" menu, and choose "extract all". All 256 graphics contained are automatically converted into paletted PNG files which are inserted after the art file.
Repeat the previous step for all art files. You should now have a huge bunch of extracted graphics, corresponding to all sprites and all textures from Blood, as lossless PNG in the original game's palette.
You can delete the art files since you'll want to keep the PNGs only, and save that zip as bloodrip.zip or something.
The Caleb sprites are in TILES015.ART.
For recoloring the pants and stuff, since the PNGs will keep the Blood palette intact, you'll be able to apply the translation "48:59=184:191" to batch recolor them in the Blood's green range. If you do that, you'll lose a bit of color depth since the pants use twelve different tones of light brown, and the palette has only eight different tones of green.
If you convert the PNGs to use the Doom palette (which is also possible from within SLADE, just convert them, including back to PNG, and you'll be able to choose a different destination palette), you'll also lose some color depth as the ranges don't map each others well. The pants also no longer get in a single range (mostly) unused in the rest of the sprite. So if you do want the Doom palette and the green pants, you'll have to first color remap the Caleb sprites while they are in the Blood palette to give them green pants, and then convert them to the Doom palette.

Gez, thank you. Is there a way to not need to use the Doom palette, but the Blood palette instead for in game?

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
You can of course use the Blood palette, especially if you're only using Blood resources rather than any of the Doom ones.
With a recent version of SLADE 3, click on Archive -> New -> Playpal. Select the Blood palette. You now have the Blood palette in your mod. For ZDoom that's all you need; for another Doom port you'd need to also select it, then click on Palette -> Generate palettes to get the full range of 14 palettes in PLAYPAL.

Sorry for necro'ing but this helped me big time.
Also, since Shadow Warrior, DUKE3D and Redneck Rampage also are Build games, can we do the same here as well?

What file is to be used when browsing DUKE and Redneck then? The GRP?

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
I just tried this, the ART files are contained in the GRP but "extract all" does nothing.

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
It worked for me, to first open the GRP in SLADE3 to later extract the content of an ART file.

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
Nothing gets printed to the console, it's like the command to extract all is never acknowledged. Should this work in 3.02 or some recent build? If it's not that then maybe it's just Slade/Wine being flaky.

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
Lol, I was being serious. I honestly have used ketchup splatters I made and took pictures of. Then I edit them in Photoshop. It was something I did to change the work flow up to get out of hours of solely illustrating. Though I will admit I didn't really read through the post before leaving the house, I honestly thought he wanted more actual "blood splatter" effects, so sorry about that.

Re: (Request) Various Blood sprites
The game is called "Blood". They aren't literally sprites of blood splats. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CibO_6YBX_k
EDIT: hadn't read the above correctly.
