Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I've fixed a missing spot in the texture (god damn how could I miss that.), and let's see what I can do..

I have said texture in my tex folder.Enjay wrote:Edit: Hm, wasn't there a clean BIGDOOR2 texture somewhere? I do remember it being from the beta.
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Would you mind posting it? I've looked through the beta but I didn't spot it.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I agree. The shading on this looks like puffy pillow-blobs. I'd say the same about the other door edit, as well, where a lot of the blobby shading actually conflicts with the apparent shapes of the paneling (noticeably at the top and bottom of the 64-wide tan door). It really doesn't blend in with the original texture very well.Eriance wrote:The only complaint I have for the new door is that it looks too round. The contrast has been raised, and shadows added, to a point where it looks like the texture is round, like the sides of a can, rather than flat.Blox wrote:
And one with some extras.
It also doesn't help that the contrast on the blob shading is significantly higher than the contrast on the actual features of the door.
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
The Blox UAC door texture kinda looks like how a hi-res for-Doom 3 version would look like, except that there, the shadows and lights change with the viewport position.

It wasn't in the beta, though. Forgot who made this.
I.E: Not mine.
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
It is nice and clean though, thanks.
It looks pretty good. I'll see if I can do anything with it to try and give it of depth for a GZDoom version but I reckon it's time for a little Blox magic.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
It looks like the one made by FuzzballFox, posted here.
To improve the texture, I would probably just add some random noise to it, like I did with COMPSPAN in KDIZD.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I like the effect that you used on the compspan textures. It might work here too but I was rather hoping for a version with more depth like Blox did with the smaller door:

I've tried myself for the last couple of hours and, despite Blox's comment that doing it was within my skills, it isn't. Frankly my results were laughable. I shift-deleted it to make sure that even my recycle bin didn't see the full horror of it.

Well, and I'm currently stuck in a stupid state of mind where I just "don't" want to do stuff.
Not to mention that unlike with that door, there's an asston of individual pieces and connections.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I had a need for some flats that compliment the METAL texture. Nuthin' fancy but I made them so I thought I may as well share.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Looking good Enjay, often the less fancy the more versatile textures are~
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Some might remember that bloodyface edit of mine on page 2, well here's an update to that
and here some Wolfenstein edits
the first one is only a slight edit for better vertical tiling, the second is a variant, the third is a sky textureand here some Wolfenstein edits
