The game crashes with me. I have GZdoom 1.5.6 and the Doom 95 shareware WAD. I'm running it on an AMD turion with ATI 3200HD graphics

About the grenade launcher alt-fire, I'll say that I've found myself in several situations where I wished I had that sort of thing.
Specially because doom enemies are hard to kill directly from above, because of their 2D sprites.

I really find that more useful than other things like the mancubus cannon or even the double barreled shotgun single shot mode.
Also most weapons have secondary functions by now.

I am not sure that you're supposed to be able to run PWADs using a shareware version of the game. Try using FreeDoom as your game data file and see if that works. Also try an SVN version of GZDoom if that doesn't work.

It still gave some error messages starting up, but it worked okay with FreeDoom. Thanks for the tip!

I second this. And also, I have a request;
What if, after a fatality, or gibbing something with your fists, add some blood sprites in first person view on doomguys arms and fists? besides, don't you think it's kind of odd if just after you've ripped somethings guts out, there's no blood all over your hands? ;)

how did you get a grenade launcher.
there wasn't any in my skull tag version 13
neither the rail gun :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Bouncing explosives around the corner is incredibly cheap, mind you. You won't even be able to see the gore splatter!

Mind you some enemies are quite deadly now just alone, and they get incredibly deadly when there are lots of them around (that is, all the time :D ) having tactical options is good thing right? Plus those enemies get quite thin and 2d when you occupy higher ground and start shoot down at them. Besides you can probably see the body parts flying around after the explosion.

In the GL options, there is a Sprite Billboard option. Set it to X/Y.
