I cant describe how i feel after ending the mod, is some kind of sadness air because all ended..... :cry:, that was an amazing experience, now is when i think that i will never find another mod better than this, thanks for making the mod bud,.. i liked it most than some recent games like mirrors egde or that fucking assasins creed... Farewell!. :cry:

I'm stuck. I'm in the upper palace, has silver and gold idol, but I'm unable to find the last (bronze?) one. Also I couldn't figure out where is the void key. Could you give me some tip? --> Ok, found them already.

Also I have some ideas to (IMHO) improve the RPG system. Sent a PM to The Ultimate DooMer on doomworlds forums, now waiting for answer.

Don't you guys think that Bloodrune weapon needs an improvement? I mean - look at the hand holding the rune - looks unnatural. The easiest way to fix it, would be to use the hand from Blood (throwing dynamite), was trying to do it myself but, unfortunately I wasn't able to find any graphic files in serpent.pk3. :?

The door in question giving "the door is locked" message is likely one where you need two certain puzzle items found in another floor of the palace.

I ran into a bug involving the potion of fire protection: Apparantly using it at the wrong time doesn't make it activate, keeping the old potion of fire protection still active, resulting in it not doing it's job. It's happened to me when I used another potion of fire protection at the wrong time in lava at the Lost Temple. Even got video proof of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmDvn21bw8c - 3:37 point in the video is where the bug happens.

Well, i know what puzzle items you mean,because i found them in the upper palace,but i dont know where to use them.

FFS is there a way to safely dispatch those overgrown rats on the first map of the archipelago? I can't kill them with the classic approach (back away slightly to avoid their attacks), because when I do that, I just swing the weapons through the air. The only way to reach and damage them is to actually get towards them... which wouldn't be that bad if they didn't chew up and kill the character in two seconds. And that's when I play on normal difficulty.

I thought this was just bug when I tried to play (and gave up) Serpent a few months back, but I see now it is a feature. So I guess there must be some trick...

Yeah it's not as simple as other wads to figure out, but there are clues around the palace (the message logs) so it's not quite like Castlevania 2 or the old Speccy puzzle games etc. where you have to be in the dev's mind to progress ;)

Are you playing as a fighter by any chance? If so, it's because the fist has a short range (more realistic than the IWAD, where you could reach further with your fist than you could by holding a big axe/hammer). The rats are still killable though, albeit a little trickier with the fist cos of their low height (I guess people aren't used to looking down at mobs and/or crouching to help kill them), plus if all else fails you can always evade them until you find a weapon in that map. (which the mage has to do anyway)

what puzzle items are you talking about?
i only found "Left eye" (of something dont remember) and a "Lyre".
and i explore the entire palace,and didnt find anything.

but,since you doing LP of this wad,i can see it on youtube.

EDIT: Ok thanks for the help guys.
i finished this cool wad.
i must say,this is one of the best i ever played,even better that stronghold:edge of chaos.
the eidolon battle was really cool and epic. :D

btw,i have 3 questions for the developer (the ultimate doomer)
1-in the final level,where you to save the kindom...
the map show me that i kill 324/324 monsters,but the level didnt end (didnt show the ending scene)
so i type in the console:"kill monsters",and it kill 5 more monsters and only then the level finished.
???

2-hmm... why the cleric firestorm spirte is messed up when im switching weapons?

3-and when i pick up the sorcerer's grenades (the fighter 5th weapon),i cant switch to the melee version of the weapon,but when i type on "NRA"(all weapons cheat) i can switch to the melee version of the sorcerer's grenades.
is that a glitch?

I'm really enjoying this mod. Created an account just to ask..

I have lots of missing textures. They're everywhere..

Mostly it's wood floors and water. Like in the lighthouse on the island, only the stairs are visible. Everything inside the walls isn't there. The rivers are empty, and there's a place where fireballs come out of a pit in a village. I think there was supposed to be lava there.

What can I do to fix this?
