As Hotwax pointed out, he was, in fact kidding.

You think that Hotwax and Graf Zahl take shots at each other? Brother, you ain't, as they say in the classics, seen nothing yet!

Hotwax generally reserves his ire for:

1) Idiots, of which this message board has seen a most unwelcome increase over the last year or so, and

2) Someone else, who really gets up Hotwax's nose, and who I won't name here, in the admittedly faint (No, not Faint) hope that I might avoid triggering another flame-war.

It's going to be hard for that person to get on anyone's nerves anymore, now that we have an ignore button to use.

Unfortunately, it doesn't block out quotes, so somebody else could quote him, and then you could read the quote. So just make sure not to read any posts that quote him.

Personally I'd be happy with just faking the 3d floors with portals. Keep up the good work on ZDoom Randy.

i.e. if you just press and release, you get a small shot that does moderate damage. If you hold for a second or so and then release, you get a larger shot that does a bit more damage. If you hold for 4+ seconds before releasing, you get a huge shot that obliterates a cyberdemon... that kind of thing?

[edit]Wait... wind up? Dragon Claw? HUH? The Claw fires whether I press and release or hold it down. I don't get it.
I suggested an A_JumpIfFiring pointer for inclusion in the weapon system, which Graf liked, but I don't remember what the status of it was. (Not sure if it went to Randy for .64 or if he was thinking of changing things for .65). At any rate, if such a thing were implemented then it would certainly make this possible, and a whole lot more.

The status is that .64 hasn't been released yet. Before anything further can be said that has to change.

Sorry I guess I just didn't pay that much attention to the smiley.

I thought you meant me. Actually I still think that person is me. HotWax probably hates me an Graf Zahl more than anyone else unless there's someone who actually deliberately tries to get on HotWax's case.

I don't hate you in the least. Oh, I spend quite alot of time rolling my eyes when I read your posts, but that doesn't mean I hate you. :D There is a difference between someone like RL who posts nothing but flames and trolls, and someone who just has a different view on life than I do.

Graf's crossed the line a few times, but I think I understand him enough now that I can take what he says a little easier.

Good. At least I know I'm off the list. Which means I didn't piss you off 'cuz it's never intended even if it does happen.

I can clearly see that you and Graf are kind'a like you and me because of the difference of views, but the only reason I even said anything in the first place was because I understand where you both are coming from (most of the time). Good to see though that at least we're all understanging mature people.
